On August 26, 2009, I mailed a First-Class Mail Int'l Parcel weighing 1 lb 4.3 oz containing a One Touch Ultra Blood Glucose Meter, 50 Test Strips and 9 pairs of socks to an ailing relative to India . After a long time I sent this parcel to India . However, I did not know about recent changes at USPS for sending parcels to India.and the Clerk:3 at East Brunswick Post Office took the parcel from me at the Counter and Charged me $13.65 with Customs Form:LC[protected]US. She did not explained to me different ways of sending a package to India .
To this date (November 17, 2009) the parcel is not delivered in India.Tracking gives me the following message:
Label/Receipt Number: LC[protected]U S
Class: First-Class Mail International
Service(s): International Letter
Status: Acceptance
