SUB: Two Passport applications returned for revalidation of DDs and pendancy of two passport applications to issue passports-reg.

In reference to above, first it is to inform that two applications nos. LKOZ 140340 and LKOZ 140337 in the name of Prem Narain Nigam and Smt Jyoti Nigam respectively are pending to issue passports for the last one year.

Secondly, two Passport applications LKOZ 140034 and LKOZ 140035 in the name of Apurva Nigam & Anushka Nigam returned on last day of July-10 for revalidation of DDs dated 04.01.2010 and 27.01.2010 whereas both the applications with all completed formalities were sent on 02.06.2010 by collectrate Kanpur under D.M. Kanpur Nagar to The Regional Passport officer Lucknow however unnecessarily applications were returned for revalidation of DDs just to harass applicants in turn financial loss Rs. 300/- to applicants for revalidation of DDs. It is no out of point to mention here that DDs were valid for six months w.e.f. date of issue, Rs300 must be returned by pass port authority. Pass ports for these two cases have been received whereas both children are minor although passport of parent are pending which is wrong as per Passport byelaws.
Now let me know that who is responsible for loss of Rs. 300/- and what action is deemed fit to be taken at your level against responsible employees of department of passport.
It is there requested to look into the matter to issue two passports & refund of Rs.300 at earliest.
