[Resolved] Passport Office Mumbai — Delay in Passport | |||
This is in regards with passport of my wife which is not yet delivered as yet. File Reference No: BOM-B[protected] of Name: RASIKA DALVI , DOB:[protected] online portal shows the status as "You are requested to call on this office and meet the Public Relation Officer, Cabin No. ( ) on any working day between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm. Please bring your original ration card/school leaving certificate/birth certificate/marriage certificate". My wife had already visited the passport office and have submitted the relevant documents after looking at this status , but still nothing has happened as yet and we are still unclear about status of the passport. I have applied for fresh passport on 16 may 2011 in new passport office in Worli, Mumbai and the police verification was done within 15 days of applying . My file number is BOM-L[protected]further They have called me to show original papers in the month of June and after seeing all the original papers the officer told me that i will get my passport in 10-15 Days but I feel sorry to write that now the almost three months have been passed but I have not yet received my passport and the status is showing that "Your application is in process".
can any one guide me what to do now as passport office are acting as they are not accountable .

I have submitted passport renewal application along with all necessory documents for my son who is minor on 29th Jan 2011.
After that I started following status for the same only.
Initially it showed, they have received application and document and after verification, passport would be despatch by 6th March, 2011.
Then passed entire March month, no change in the status for the same.
At the end of March, the passport status got changed stating "It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the despatch of Passport has been delayed and will now be despatched in a week's time."
Till then there is no change in this status.
I had tried calling on the phone number and wrote to the email address stated on official site of the passport office Mumbai. But no luck.
I have no idea on how to esclate this or what is the real issue in my case.
Please guide me.
