[Resolved]  Passport Police Verification — Passport police verification delay

Hi My name is K Venugopal and my file number is B05117309. I had applied for the passport on 20-June-09 and got a call for my police station verification first on 28-June-09 at KR Puram Police station. On my visit to the Police station they stated that my address falls to Hoskote Police Station Jurisdiction and guided me there. On later date ie on 20-July-09 a police constable visited my house and did a thorough check of my address and with my neighbors. He later called me and said to visit the Hoskote Police Station. I visited repeated for 3-4 times for the verification and found the writer of the station busy and finally i completed the police station verification on 25-July-09. Today 11-Aug-09 i checked the status of my passport and found the verification is pending from the police station. Please help me how to take it forward for as i require my passport urgently.

Hope my greivence will be considered and dealt on priority.

I submitted the documents for reissue of passport on 10th June. My passport was to be sent out by the end of July (45 days). I checked the website for the status during that time only to find the status as police verification not received. Soon after I received a letter from the passport office saying that police verification was pending. After multiple visits to the police station, the police verification finally happened on 16th August, but till now the status on the website of the passport office mentions the same, i.e. police verification not yet received. Please help!

I have applied for passport September 12th2009, my police verification over on September 18th 2009.When i will get my passport . i need very urgent. anybody can help me on this.

I submitted my passport form 2 months back and i got police verfication call in 15 days of application.
I met to Passport Police Officer but i was 30 minutes late as i was not at home that time. Officer asked to give to references and a form to be filled. I gave him form duly filled along with other supporting documents. Officer told me that report will be sent in 2/3 days but i saw the status it was pending for more than a month. Later on the status was that, Officer sent the report like that '''''I have shifted to some other place and not staying at the same address and I need to submit form1 again''''' and this was due to only that he was not satisfied with the bribe that i told to give him. Officer name is SALIM in Srinivas Puri Passport Police Station.

Kindly let me know how to file a case against that dog.

Hello,
I had applied for passport and all was going smooth till police came for verification and I wasnt at home..and my family had told them that I would be coming after a week and I came on time..and now the passport status on website shows " Police Report Incomplete and case is examined".That means they have sent the report already. Earlier it was showing Passport pending due to Pending Police verification.

Can anyone advice me what to do in this case? How long would it take? Would passport office send it back to police station for verification?

Please please advice me...

I have applied for passport at 04 dec 08 first time my police enquery was incomplete because of two address if you are not residentioal of singlr address from past one year you can provide two address as per passport rule police people does only current address varifiaction there for my report was incomplete now i have put new PP form for police verificaton now they have done varifiaction for both addresses but i want passport very immediately for forein visit

i went to the passport office to add my husbands name in the passport on the 16th Oct, it was informed to me that I'll receive my passport within 10-15 days...Stil now i have not received the passport, and the Status says that police verification not done...what should i do or whom should i contact...please help

I applied for passport in Tatkal and got the passport two days back, however the police verification has not been done. I heard that the police verification is not neccessary if we applied it in Tatkal, Is it true?. Or should I go to the nearby Police station to get the clearance. Please advise.

passport — URGENT: Police verification pending for passport since oct 09

I, Abhishek Dey, File No.: CAL-A[protected], applied for passport on the 1st of October 2009. However, there has been no response ever since by police or any authority to conduct verification and submit the police report so that my passport can be issued.
Sir, I presumed that the time gap between application and reception of a normal passport could have been to the most 2 months given my documents have been verified and I had no problems whatsoever during application to the regional office in Kolkata. My joining date to the company I enrolled in (TCS) has arrived and there is a mandatory passport requirement during the joining.
I would be honestly grateful to you and all the authorities if the process of passport issuance is hastened and my police verification is conducted as soon as possible. It would be also helpful if I am told where to report my problem so that I can expect that steps are taken by authorities to complete this process.

I had applied for my passport on November 27, 2009. An individual came to my place for police verification on December 16, 2009. My File Ref. No. is F034599.

When I look at the status for the passport, it still says "Application is pending for want of Police Report."

Request if you could please help me know the reason for this delay when all the formalities have been completed. The requirement for the passport is now extremely urgent.

Hi I had sumitted my rissue application for passport in delhi in sept'09. Passport office delhi changed my file number in october'09 but till date no came for police verification at my home. I am really fed up from this corrupt system. i do not know what to do in this case.

me and my husband have applied for the passport on 01/01/2010 for inclusion of spouse name...and even we both have cleared police verification on 18-jan-2010. on 26th Jan my husband has receieved his passport.

but still my passport is pending.
now 31 days are over.but it still shows that police verification has not been recieved

I have applied for my passport on the[protected], my file no. is A044593. Few months back the police verification had been done. The police who came for the investigation met the two references and spoke to me personally. But the verification had been marked a failure and I had to reapply.
After so much of harrassment from the PRO, I finally got the chance to submit my second passport form on the fourth visit. The second police verification came on the 12th of March 2010 during office hours, and the verification police went back without meeting me and my references. My brother who spoke to the person asked him to wait till I reach home. But he left accusing him that he was telling lie. Please suggest me where I can freely discuss all my inconveniences and get my passport at the earliest. I hardly have any stamina left to go to the passport office once again to get another form and reapply. Kindly help me out. Thanks.
