[Resolved]  Post Office Mis Scheme — Nominee settlement tmr 12911

I lost my father on 18.05.2007 due to cancer and his monthly income scheme became due for payment on 31.07.2007. My mother who is the nominee submitted the nominee claim for receiving the amount of rs. 100000/- with vested bonus on 03.08.2007 duly acknowledged by the tiruvanmiyur post office staff. Since then they took nearly 2 and a half months to send the claim settlement that too only for rs. 100000/- nothing is mentioned about the bonus.

When she went to the post office today they asked her to fill a form and get it signed by a post man and the post men there refused to sign and they all treated her very badly. I do not understand why the post man should sign when she is ready to show her passport, pan card etc for identification. Please instruct the tiiruvanmiyur post office people to be a little courteous to a widowed woman who is also a cancer patient with high blood pleasure and sugar complaint. Please reply to me regarding the procedure to be followed as it is almost 75 days and one lakh rupee is not a small amount. She has other commitments to be met with this money and they all attract interest on interest.
