[Resolved] PuneCakeShop — Order not delivered and no response

Hi, I ordered for the cake to be delivered on 20 March 2009. For midnight delivery, shop charged another 399/- INR by promising that they will refund complete money if fail to deliver. 21st March 2009 we called up the shop with order number, they replied that cake been destroyed at time of delivery so couldn't deliver the cake as promised and the person who responded to the call also confirmed that my payment will get riveted to my bank a/c which I used for shop with in 24 hours. I did mail followups all these days but not sure if anybody reading those mails I get 0 replies. Now from past two days when I try contacting the number presented on their home page, I am getting a " not reachable" message. This is giving really negative impression on online stores from India. Customer Had placed order for outside city limits and forcing us to deliver exactly at MidNight, We TOLD customer that area is far and exact midnight will not be possible and will be delivered in the night delivery time slot which cost Rs.250/- (Not 399/-) from 9 pm till 11:55 pm as listed on website.

Customer was rude and said if we fail to deliver exact at midnight he will request his bank to stop the payment

Hence we cancelled the order from our side and refunded the amount back to customer's account.

Below is the refund detail

Manit,

a. You would not have accepted the order if you had any doubt on delivering on time.
b. Why the customer was wrongly updated that "cake was destroyed.." ?
c. The refund should have processed the next day.

Interesting response from your end knowing the deficiency of all the services.

I too had good experience with punecakeshop.com, I placed order for my husband birthday- a cake, rose bunch and chocolate's and got them delivered on time and the taste of the cake was good and the rose bunch was fresh and good. Only dissatisfaction is that the cake was plain and nothing was wrote on it instead i asked them to write Happy birthday honey. Also the guy who handled it has not taken proper care hence the shape got little disturbed. Over all am much satisfied with the product and will definitely use the service in future.

I am gaurav from Johannesburg.On 29th July 2014 i logged on to

www.punecakeshop.com/ to order for a birthday cake for a friend in Pune. Cake was to be delivered on same day i.e. 29th July 2014.
The cake i ordered was :”Chocolate Avalanche Cake Pune”
Quantity : 1 kg
Price Rs. 1500/-
Special Delivery charges for chosing time between 11:00 to 6:00 p.m. : was Rs. 100/-
Therefore total Cost incurred for the cake is Rs. 1600/-.

Those guys could not deliver the cake before office timings are over so my friend to whom the cake was to be delivered told these guys to deliver it on 30th July 2014.

They said that they would deliver it between anytime after 9:00 AM in the morning of 30th July but the actual cake was delivered at 6:20 PM.

PUNECAKESHOP.COM succks...Would definitely not recommend their service because its pathetic and digusting.
