[Resolved]  Puricom Water Pvt. Ltd. — Damage to the RO and failure to repair it

I had purchased RO water filter from Puricom in 2002 and since then have had major problems with service despite having taken regular AMC. In 2007, one of the service engineers broke the cover and failed to replace it. The filter was not serviced subsequently despite repeated reminders and despite having six months balance in the AMC. As a last resort, I took AMC from Ion exchange. Although the filter was not from their company, they gave me satisfactory service.

Soon, the sales person from Puricom started calling me every two days (without exaggeration) to market an AMC from Puricom. I declined and consistenly reminded them not to call me anymore. On October 5, 2009, the sales girl from Puricom called to say that I am due for servicing and when she should send an engineer. When I enquired if she was calling from Ion exchange, she agreed. I fixed up a time the next day for the service engineer to visit me. On October 6, 2009, Mr. Pavan (Mobile no.[protected] visited me and it was then that I realized he was from Puricom and not Ion exchange. He urged me repeatedly to give the company a try once again and promised me service every three months (contract recepit number 1699). He changed several parts saying that he felt Puricom parts were better than those from Ion exchange. The water unfortunately, continued to smell of chemicals despite draining it thrice. During the next week, several service engineers came, and failed to repair the unit. Worse still, they damaged it further whereby the water outflow became continuous.
Despite repeated calls, no one came. Finally, in the month of December, one enginner Mr. Jagveer came (Mobile no.[protected] but failed to repair it. During the next three days, three other engineers came but failed to repair it. Since then, no service engineer has come even for regular service as per the AMC.
The water is unfit for drinking and the machine does not stop working because the water outflow is continuous. Finally, after being harassed by Puricom for 8 months, I am compelled to file in a complaint on this forum.
