[Resolved]  Railway Parcel Booking — parcel booking status

Sir.this is really a shameful situation created by Railway Parcel department that they are habitual of making delivery failure mistakes all the time...and even not accepted after customer complaints..Is there any positive approach against these type of silly mistakes by Railway Parcel Department.
(My story is also added with several assaulted customers ...I have booked two wooden boxes containing important machine related to testing field on 10.10.12 at Nizzamuddin Station - NZM to Raigarh, Chhatisgarh from Godwana Express. Bookind PRR No.-[protected]..it is to be delivered on 11.10.12 evening.
But till now no delivery has been done & no status update with both the departments...RAIGARH PARCEL OFFICE & NIZAMMUDIN PARCEL OFFICE. they always try to clean their hands with no excuse statements...
Please this is my humble request to you sir that there should be something which could teach a lesson to those type of irresponsible departments...

With reference to the subject PRR No.[protected] made on dated 07.10.2012 and above referred receipt for my Bike which was booked from Delhi Junction to Siwan Junction.

It’s been around one month since I booked my bike but unfortunately I’m still not aware about whereabouts of the same. Neither it has reached the destination nor is it standing anymore in Delhi station.

My all attempt goes in vain as your booking departments in Delhi and Siwan junction are fail to provide me the current status.

I have booked my bike BAJAJ DISCOVER 150 cc, reg no. KA38K9041 on ticket booking, having PRR NO. [protected] and booking ticket no. 911213 from railway station bidar to my hometown biharsharif via secunderabad, howrah on 22 nov 2012. But till on date, I have not received the bike and also not able trace the whereabouts of the bike.

I am on track with the railway station biharsharif (BEHS) but not satisfied with their response, I have also checked with patna jn but no.positive response received. Its my humble request to look into the matter and do the needful action.

I have a suggestion regarding the parcel and luggage booking,

Why shouldnot each and every station must update the inward and outward parcel, with reference to the status of luggage originated from the booked station, coming to their station over the internet, so that the user can easily trace their luggage and able to find luggage on that station only


As railway already using online tracking of parcel but every station not using this facility and even the customer is not familiar with this service so guiding of customer is also necessary, which can be done only by implementing it forcily.

Please understand one thing very clearly, Once you book your luggage through train, there is practically no guarantee against any of the following things happening
1. Your luggage takes very long time to reach destination.
2. You luggage is lost in transit.
3. Your luggage reaches wrong destination.
4. Part of your luggage is either broken or stolen.

The only way to get your luggage in time is to get it loaded in the relevant train in front of yourself and stay there till the luggage-van is sealed. For this you will have to give "Chadhaavaa" to the loading contractor or the loading labourer or the booking clerk. So, I am sure that you all have been following the wrong procedure and hence you are suffering.

Dear sir,

I have booked my bike ( honda shine No. UK-06U 9486 on dated 18.5.2013 from Bairelly station ( BE) for Patna Junction ( PNBE). I was ensured that the same will get loaded in Haridwar- hawrah ( Train No 12370) on 19th of may 2013 and I can collect the same from destination station latest by 21st may 2013. when contacted at patna junction on 21st may, I did not found it there and I was asked, that the same might have uinloaded at hawarah station but no such confirmation of its where-about. No one of the railway officials are able to give any satisfactory answer about it. I want to know when I will get the bike at patna junction. I want to know whether there is any tracking mechanism or whether the officials will call me over phone as it received at patna junction. It is unmanagible for me to go the station on daily basis and enquire about the same.
Pls help me in this regard.

THRISSUR RAILWAY BOOKING OFFICER MR.JAMES WHO WAS IN DUTY FOR BOOKING ON JUNE 13TH 2013 ASKED ME 500 RUPEES EXTRA APART FROM THE BOOKING CHARGES TO GET MY BIKE BOOKED FROM THRISSUR TO BHOPAL IN KERALA EXPRESS. HE TOLD ME THAT IT NOT EASY TO GET BOOKING IN THAT PARTICULAR TRAIN KERALA EXPRESS BECAUSE IT IS A SUPER FAST EXPRESS. I GAVE HIM THE AMOUNT BUT THE BIKE WAS NOT LOADED IN THE TRAIN. LATER A PORTER TOLD ME THAT HE ALWAYS ASK FOR POCKET MONEY THOSE WHO NEWLY COME FOR BOOKING IN TRICHUR STATION. HE IS VERY MUCH CORRUPTED AND LATER ON WHEN I ASKED ABOUT THE DETAILS WHY MY PARCEL NOT LOADED IN THE TRAIN; HE SCOLD ME IN VERY BAD LANGUAGE AND THREATENED ME THAT I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BOOK ANY OTHER GOODS IN THRISSUR STATION.

LATER ON A PORTER TOLD ME THAT THIS OFFICER WILL ASK FOR POCKE TMONEY FROM ALMOST ALL SUCH BIKE BOOKING CLIENTS FROM A RANGE OF 100 TO 500
