[Resolved]  Railways — Missing of Coach

Subject: Mental and Physical harassment due to unavailability of reserved coach.

Dear Sir,

With due respects, I would like to bring to your notice the mental and physical harassment me and my 60-year-old mother had to face due to unprofessional attitude of the Northern Railways.

I had reserved two berths in Coach D-9 (berth numbers xxx) in Shane Express from Nizzamudin to Amritsar but upon reaching the New Delhi station we came to know that the train does not have the said coach. It was chaos at the station and we could not even find the Ticket Checker to register our complaint.

It’s not only me and my aged mother but other fellow passengers, who had reserved their berths in the same coach, had to travel in the general compartment. The mobile numbers of the passengers, who suffered similar fate, has been given below for your reference.

The sufferings did not end here as the general compartment we got into did not have seats and we had to travel the entire distance sitting near the toilets.

The entire journey was no less than a trauma for my mother and I would like to seek not only the refund for our tickets but also a compensation for our sufferings.

I hope you would look into the matter and award us the compensation.
