Rediff.com — Non delivery / No Customer Service

Dear Members,

This is the worst experience i ever had through Online Shopping from rediff.com. They act irresponsible. I placed an order for a SanDisk USB pen drive(4GB) worth Rs.499 on 1st May, 2010. On 3rd when i checked the status, it displayed that the order has been handed over to Blue Dart and provided an invalid consignment number. I couldn't track my order due to this reason.

I waited for over a week as it was told that the product will require 7 shipping days. I contacted rediff Customer service regarding this and received a reply pasted below:

With reference to your mail, we have spoken with our enabling partners and received the intimation that the product against you order no. 5888541 will be delivered to you within next 4 to 5working days.

Assure you of prompt and courteous response on all your visits to Rediff.com

I waited for another 5 days as informed still my order was not delivered. Upon this i contacted the vendor Veedee Enterprises and got a confirmation that the product has been delivered to Rediff and it is the responsibility of Rediff to ship this product.

I filed a complaint with Rediff through email and never received a response. I contacted Rediff Customer care and got a response that the system is temporarily offline and advised to contact later. I contacted 3 times and all the three tomes i received the same response. Two days later i again contacted Customer care and this time i was advised to file a complaint. when i confirmed that I have already made a complaint , they requested for the complaint number. I provided the complaint number and was told that i will receive a reply within 24 hours. Still I am at nowhere. This is a terrible experience i had in my life. I always used to promote online shopping but this experience is forcing me to rethink again. Its a shame on Rediff.
