[Resolved]  Rediffmail — cannot open inbox and outbox

i cant open rediff mail-says there is critical error

I m unable to open & see my outbox/ sentbox.
Pls do accordingly

I am also facing the problem of being unable of logging in to my rediff account. And i am sure there are so many redif[censored]sers which might be facing the same issue. I am having lot of message in my rediffmailaccount. i want to open my email in box. but rediffmail asked so many questions. Last one year before i opened rediffmail so i dont know the answers.

Since yesterday i cannot open my account at [protected]@rediffmail.com...its says its under maintenance...

So I opened another account at [protected]@rediffmail.com and this opens very easily...
what does this mean that only my aforesaid account is under maintenance?...
Please arrange to rectify it as I have a lot of personal emails therein and if possible transfer them to [protected]@redifmail.com..

Problems in accessing Rediffmail

Root Cause:

On January 19th, 2010 between 01.30 and 3.30 am, a critical maintenance activity was scheduled to upgrade the Rediffmail infrastructure. During this maintenance window, users would have experienced degraded performance while accessing their mailboxes. While performing the activity there was a technical snag followed by H/W failures which resulted in a hardware grid hosting a block of mailboxes going offline.

Impact:

During this time, users with mailboxes residing on the affected hardware grid, faced issues in accessing it. Delivery of incoming mails was also partially affected and delayed.

Immediate Recovery Process Followed:

All hardware devices which hosts users' data are designed to handle failures to ensure there is no loss o[censored]ser data. Immediately after the storage going offline, our Operations team came into action and started restoration of affected grid. Recovery and reconstruction time has to follow standard operations procedures and steps to ensure no loss of data. The initial recovery and verification process is completed at 22:00 IST on Wednesday followed by sanity check processes. This allowed us to get the basic mailbox of the user back online for the user and resume the access to the same.

Post data integrity verification, all the old data including old mails, settings, address book, filters etc. for affected users will be restored to normalcy.

i m vartika my rediff email is opening but i m unable to see my previous mails.they all contain important data.why this is happening.if this goes on that i have to ask my friends to mail those data to my alternate id.i have to stop using rediffmail.

Its so surprise.I never expeerienced such a type of problems since 2004.Why iam facing these problems now?

Mainly I could not open my page with my ID &Passward.I fed up with this since morning.I despaired towards this abnormality.What best I can expect from you?
