[Resolved] Regional Passport Office - Chennai — Undue Delay In Receipt Of Passport | |||
I have applied for passport for my son on 04.01.11 and the police verfication happened in the last week of Jan'11. I have received a letter on 18th Mar 2011 stating - Mother divorced, judgement on custody required. Initially while filing the application itself, single parent declaration along with copy of the court order were submitted. But donot know why was such clarification was sought. Till then online status was showing as police verification report not received. Still I approaced passport office on 21.03.11 and met the concerned officer in 2nd floor room no 3 and explained her that it was a ex - partee judgement as he has not appeared for any of the hearings. As adviced by the officer i have given a declaration stating i take the sole responsibility for the custody of child, along with the copy of the court order. From mid of june'11, online status started showing as - "Clear police report has been received. Your passport will be despatched shortly". But i have not received it till date. I have written several mails to [protected]@tn.nic.in & rpo.[protected]@mea.gov.in, explaining the case. But was of no use. I even have written to Mr Senthil Pandian , Cheif Greivance Officer, but there was no reply. I am in a urgency of getting the passport. Seek immediate resolution Was this information helpful? | |||

CHENNAI PASSPORT OFFICE — DELAY IN RECEIPT OF PASSPORT
PLS. IGNORE MY EARLIER COMPLAINT MAIL. I HAVE MISTAKENLY CONSIDERED THE "COMPANY NAME TO BE FILLED" AS MY WORKING ORGANISATION. HERE'S MY COMPLAINT ON PASSPORT OFFICE.I HAVE APPLIED FOR A PASSPORT FOR MY DAUGHTER AGED 1.5 YRS ON FEB 9TH 2008 THRO' PONDY BAZAAR POST OFFICE TO THE CHENNAI PASSPORT OFFICE. IT WAS MENTIONED IN THE RECEIPT THAT I WILL BE GETTING THE PASSPORT AFTER 90 DAYS. BUT STILL NOW, EVEN POLICE ENQUIRY FORMALITIES WAS NOT DONE.
EVERY TIME WHEN I ACCESSED THE FILE STATUS, ITS SHOWING THE FILE IS UNDER PROCESS. I HAVE ALREADY LAUNCED MY COMPLAINT THRO' THE PUBLIC GRIEVANCE EMAIL ID. BUT NO REPLY.
I TRIED FOR PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER THRO' TELEPHONE. THE TELEPHONE IS RINGING BUT NOBODY IS PICKING THE PHONE. SINCE MY FOREIGN JOB IS AROUND THE CORNER, IAM WORRIED WHETHER I WILL BE ABLE TO TAKE MY FAMILY AT THE RIGHT PERIOD TO ABROAD.
