[Resolved]  Regional Passport Office, Hyd — Hyderabad Passport Officers Corruption

Hello Co-Citizens of India,
I've recently been to Hyderabad Regional Passport Office for my nephew's passport application submission. My nephew is just 2 months old and i thought it would be quick to get the passport for an infant uunder TATKAAL scheme. Guess what, i was troubled immesely with no mercy by the officers.

The moment i get in to the office premises on my appointment date, there was this huge line without any shelter. People of all age were there in the line, again no mercy. What if it rains suddenly, the whole set of documents would become a mess.

The office who was validating the documents and allocating the Q no was so cruel person. He thinks that he is not doing his job but charity to the people. He was so harsh on applicants, abusing them personally. I would rather name him as a SADIST. He will learn his lesson soon.

The passport officers in the counters are trained how NOT to issue a passport to the applicants. They humiliate the applicants so easily. They are so cunning, what they do is as soon they realise the need & urgency of the applicant, they cash it smartly. They have every rite to reject the application. This is their WEAPON too. They can simply reject any document/certificate issued by the Govt Of India, saying they can not recognise/accept that as the required proof document.

I personally got my nephew application thrice for 3 various reason though i followed the CHECK LIST published by the passport office.
1. Firstly i got rejected saying spouse name in my sis-in-law's passport is missing. An alternative would be a VC from local SHO.
2. Secondly, when i furnished SHO verification certificate, i got rejected this time saying the SHO document is invalid. No mercy again.
3. Thirdly, when i fight over the VC provided by SHO, i got rejected based on marriage certificate of my brother and sis-in-law. I couldn't believe it. The marriage certificate was valid and accepted in India and abroad as well, is now invalid for passport officers. Upon seeking the explanation i have been told that the marriage certificate format has to different as per their rules. Comeon, all a MC can proove is the relationship b/w 2 persons bonded together. What has to be done with format of document?

I got pissed of and tired of all this nonsence. Then i was asked to consult the head officer. BELIEVE IT OR NOT, he was so unprofessional, that after all my explanation over the PP application, he asked for Rs. 5000 to do the job. I had to bribe him to get the job done.

I can't believe it. My family was in so much of hurry that i had no option other than paying him the money and get the job done. A top ranked passport officer, after accepting the bribe, took personal interest in my application and get my job done.
