[Resolved]  Reliance Communications — Unable to cancel account and unwarranted late fee

hello I wish to lodge a complaint againts Reliance after having been trying to resolve the following issue. I have a USB MOden and had been asked to leave a deposit and make prepayments. I did this and later the prepayments were not paid and I was charge late fees, the service disconnected.

I have since been trying to reslove the issue and to terminate the service and recieving no help, can you please help me. I have included the email exchanges with the customer service department.

The Emails exchange is in the order of earliest email first and latest last.

I have been asked to leave a deposit which I have done, as well as an advanced payment for while I am traveling. Both of these things have been. My last deposit was made on 11/1/2008 for 8, 000 rupies Invoice number 225 signed by Raj

The receipt was for Advance Jan, Feb, Mar, Aprl, May

yet the payments were never made and my service was cut off. This has also happened in past. This time I was in Madurai, after no service for several weeks.

I contacted Senthilkumar Arumugam at WW/WOTC CODE no. 15007; Bye Pass Road Mdurai

He kindly researched my account and found that no payments had been made since December 2007. I made a payment of 3, 425 rupies to bring the account upto balance and soon returned to Bodhgaya.

Apon arriving in Bodhgaya and meeting with Raj, he informed me he did not have my deposit, This was 6/3/2008 but would have it for me by 16/3/2008; which has come and passed and needless to say no refund. I am traveling again soon and wish to collect my deposit back before leaving and wish to lodge a complaint, and aske for my monies back

Thank you for the email.

I am at this point wishing to close the account altogher by March 24th. I have had too many problems and right now would simply like to close the account.

I have had lost service three times, had to pay late fees, when the monies were paid up front, and now will be traveling again and wish to close the account before traveling.

I am meeting with a lawyer who will be handling my account activities with Reliance and others as of March 24th, and would be grateful to have this account closed by then.

Thank you for the reply, please note that I had asked for payment to be credited my account with Raj Reliance, but they said they would not be able to do so, and I should make my payment else where.

This does not seem fair, as I have been charged late fees, and had to pay for service, when service was cut off, due to payments not being made by the local office after the monies were given to the office in advance.

The Gaya office had requested this and I obliged only to get services cut off, I would often email and call the local office to please make payments, which were not done.

And now I am facing another payment deadline with the same result, and wish t simply terminate the account altogether.

My hope is to start fresh when I return in August in Madurai, and Chenna were the service of Reliance has been outstanding. I spend about 10 months each year in India, and have have great results with Reliance until orking with Gaya, and my wish is cancel my current services altogether and re-establish a new account in either Madurai or Chennai in August

Thank you for the meail, but I am sorry to say I don't understand it. Could you please clarify what you mean by

"we understand that one of our executive had contacted and provide the resolution reported by you."

1) Which Executive do you have a name?

2) Had contacted..contacted who?

3) provide the resolution ...what resolution?

4) reported by me...I am still trying resolve this issue, with very little success and now would like to cancle the subscription. So what are saying was reported by me?

I have just received another late fee, even though the advance payment was made.

So my questions left unanswered are..

1) I do not believe I should be charged late fees when the advance payment was made to the Reliance Rep...I did my part and fullfilled my obligation and still get charged a late fee

2) The service was also suspended and I believe I had to pay for service anyhow

3) Right now, I wish to cancle the subscription can you please help in that area.

Please note this is now my 4th request to have the service cancled, , , can you please provide help in this matter

It is getting very frustrating at this pint to continualy repeate the same request over and over, , while at the same time being charged added fees which never should exist to begin.

So kindly answer the request to end the service, and address the issue of the added fees
