Reliance Communications — NetConnect Modem
Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing after a month of being harassed and made to run around regarding my NetConnect modem (No. [protected]). Since I work in the US for part of the year, I had requested my modem be put in safe custody between Jan 17 and Apr 17, 2011. However, after the first month, I began receiving bills. When I complained to Customer Care via phone, I was asked to visit the nearest Reliance outlet in Grand Mall, Gurgaon. Due to my absence, my parents visited the store in mid-March and located the safe custody forms I had filled out in January. Mr. Satya at the Gurgaon store assured them that he'd registered a complaint and take action promptly. Nonetheless, I received more bills from Reliance in April and May, plus a letter warning that my failure to pay an amount exceeding Rs. 3,000 would result in legal action against me. Upon my return in late April, I visited the Gurgaon outlet to speak with Mr. Satya regarding this letter. Over three visits, he informed me that he'd been exchanging emails with the Delhi office regarding wrong billing and reactivation of my NetConnect modem. At this point, after a month of running around, I am writing to you to sort out the matter immediately. I would like immediate reactivation of my account, clearing of all wrong charges to my account, and suitable compensation for not being able to use my modem for over a month. If I do not hear back from you within three business days, I shall report the matter to the Consumer Forum. Yours sincerely, Uday Chandra P 24 South City I Gurgaon 122002 Mobile: [protected] Was this information helpful?
