Reliance Communications — charges added to closed account

I had Reliance broadband connection with account number [protected] in Bangalore and closed it while leaving Bangalore in July 2011. For closing the connection I informed Reliance customer care and persons from reliance came and took the equipment given at the time of connection. After that I relocated to Hyderabad and a month later I received a bill stating that I have to pay some charges. When I called the reliance guy regarding the charges who collected the equipment he said the system is not updated and I will not get any further mails. I didn't get any mail later.

But few days back(after two years) I am getting mails from reliance to pay dues for the connection I had in Bangalore. When I ask them if the charges are for equipment then I got a reply stating NO and there is no clear answer on why the charges are being levied on the account that was closed. Also I had paid all the due amount that was there at the time of closure for the internet usage.

Also a mail from [protected]@gmail.com asking to attend Lok adalat court for settling the amount which was due for Reliance communications. The mail stated to contact Mr.Vinay at[protected] / 40942435 regarding any issues. I called Mr.Vinay and said my concern. He said he will check with Reliance on it and said no need to attend the court.He said he will get back to me but never called back.

Please let me know how to proceed.

Reliance Communications — Charges

I had taken Reliance broadband services the guy who came for installation told that there are no installation charges you just have to pay Rs 500 as advance rental and he never gave me a phone handset. He just installed a Internet modem. Even the customer care used to say that. Now when I have applied for cancellation of services they are asking me to return the handset and Rs. 500 was installation charges and not advance rental by the time I was availing their services Rs 500 was advance rental which suddenly have changed to one time non refundable installation charges.

Kindly look into the matter.
