[Resolved]  Reliance Life Insurance — WRONG POLICY ISSUED AGAINST MISREPRESENTATION OF DATA

Dear Sir, I am attaching the copy of complaint which I have already lodged with Reliance Life Insurance, and as per them they cant cancel the policy. Date: 27TH September 2013 The Customer Care Officer Reliance Life Insurance Gurgaon Reference: POLICY NO : 51101937 Name of the policy Holder: Mr. Puran Chandra Joshi Client ID of Policy Holder: 86426605 Date of Birth of Policy Holder: 1st April 1973 Age at entry of Policy Holder: 39 years Name of Life Assured: Mr. Dipendra Kumar Joshi Client ID of Life Assured: 86426585 Date of Birth of Policy Holder: 1st April 1973 Age at entry of Policy Holder: 39 years Address of Policy Holder: Janki Niwas Nilium Colony, Post Manpur West, Haldwani, Nainital, Uttrakhand. Dear Sir, The complaint is regarding the above mentioned policy issued by the Reliance Life Insurance. The above mentioned policy has been issued by your following agent: Name of Agent/ Broker: North India Finserve Pvt. Ltd. Agent/Broker Code: 21364762 Agent/Brokers Address: 812, Surya Kiran Building, 19 Kasturba Gabdhi Marg, New Delhi 110001 My father “Mr. Puran Chandra Joshi” is a retired Government Servant and lives at the above mentioned address. Actually my father wants to surrender one policy of Kotak Mahindra, and many times he has called to the Kotak Mahindra Insurance Company. One Mr. Pawan Kumar Sharma, Mobile [protected] and Office No [protected], who said he is the manager in Kotak Mahindra Insurance has called to my father and told them that the money which he has invested in Kotak, has now become Rs. 182, 000.00 but it has been invested in the Relaince company by Kotak. As you want to surrender the policy before maturity and wants money back from Reliance he will need to invest initially a sum of Rs. 18500 in reliance insurance. And in a period of 30-90 days he will receive the amount from Kotak Mahindra. As soon as you will receive the money from Kotak Mahindra, this policy of Reliance will also be cancelled and you will receive the refund of this 18500 also. As my father without concerting anybody did the investment in Reliance Life Insurance, because he was in need of money. This Mr. Pawan Sharma passed the details to Mr. Manish Saxena, Mobile No [protected], who has approached to my father to sell the above policy.(Represented himself as the Manager of Reliance Insurance) He or his representative visited my parents in the month of July, and influenced my parents to purchase the above policy by making fake commitments. Now when my father did not received any money from neither Kotak Mahindra nor Reliance, he told the full story to me, while scrutiny the Policy received from the Reliance Life Insurance, I found the following discrepancies, which clearly shows a case of cheating. As per the details printed on the policy document the above policy is Void. 1. As shown above, the age of my father shown in the document is 39 years, but the PAN card and the Aadhar Card (which has been submitted along with the application), the copy of same attached in the policy document clearly shows the date of my Father Mr. Puran Chandra Joshi is[protected]. How can this policy be issued to a person who's age is 68 years. 2. They have shown the occupation of my father as Textile Shop, but my father is a retired Govt servant and enjoying his retired life. 3. Secondly my (Dipendra Kumar) Date of Birth Shown in the Policy is 1st August 1973, unfortunately this is also wrong, and one more interesting thing is that the date of birth of my father and son is same. At the time when my father received this policy, he called up to the agent that the date of birth shown in the document is wrong, he very smartly replied, " Uncleji Date of Birth se Kuch Farak Nahi Padta". 4. My signatures in the application form are also forged by the Insurance Agent. If you will find the details in your system you will find all the data is wrong and is willfully done by the agent. This is very serious matter of fraud and misrepresentation of data, hence I request you to kindly cancel the above policy which is issued in name of father and the money to be refunded to him at the earliest. This is my humble request to you that the above matter must be shorted out immediately, and the person who are playing with the Name of Reliance must be punished, so that they are not able to play with the money of other innocent people. Hope all the documents regarding my father is available with the Reliance Insurance. I have all the documents available with me, can be submitted to you in case they are required. I shall be waiting for your prompt action regarding the above complaint. I have already called many times to your customer care number 30338181 and filed the above complaint in written to rlife.[protected]@relianceada.com, rlife.[protected]@relianceada.com on 16th, 20th and 24th Sept, but unfortunately I have not received any reply from them.
