[Resolved]  Reliance Mobile (CDMA) — cheating marketing techniques

Reliance mobile subscribers - beware

If you are a pre-paid subscriber, you are going to be doomed, but slowly.

Here is how:

One morning (2009/10/22)I have received a message like this:

"Your subsciption for CelFunPack service has been renewed on
2009/11/21 for Rs.30 for 30 days. To unsubscribe SMS Unsub 1149 to
155223(Toll Free) or dial 5630086"

Normally I do not read or care or act on such marketting messages. Once
in a while I use to delete all such messages in bulk. Fortunately for me, I
happened to read the message noted above. It said they are going to
renew my subscription for another 30 days. That means I must have
subscribed for that service already, and they must have reduced Rs.30
from my pre-paid balance. Reliance enquiry at *333 (on 2009/10/23)
confirmed that my pre-paid balance already stands reduced by Rs.30 for
the CelFunPack service. But they are unable to substantiate my
subscription for that service. Because , according to them, their
marketting people may have received my request for subsciption. They
have also revealed to me, to my dismay, that three other similar services
have also been activated against my mobile number. That means, my pre
-paid blance have already been reduced by another Rs.90 for this month.

The fact is that I have never requested for any such service at any time. I
am a retired senior citizen and am not interested in any such 'Fun'
services at all. The reliance enquiry people were kind enough to register
my complaint/request for stopping all such value added services forth
with. (register no.[protected]), which is said to become active within 45
days.

Just think of the money they are amassing by this way. Without any
request from me for subscription, the service is activated at a cost of
Rs.30 for one month. They have renewed that service for another 30 days
without my requst, another Rs.30 to be debit., and sends me a message
confiming the renewal and asking me to avail of the oppotunity for
unsubscription from next renewal onwards.

Suppose, as usual, I did not happen to read this message, they would
have continued to renew these unwanted services without any request
debiting Rs.30 per month per service from my pre-paid balance. For post
paid subscribers, they would receive printed bill each month and there is
an opportunity for verifying their debits. In the case of pre-paid
subscribers, no such facility is there. Reliance people are taking
advantage of such ignorance. When the prepaid balance become
insufficient, we use to recharge without looking how we have consumed
our pre-paid balance. I am sure, millions of pre-paid subscribers are being
cheated this way every month by the Great Reliance mobile company.

Since the amount invoved is small, the cheating goes on and on. Of
course, a great short-cut way to add up to their profit for becomming a
number-one Indian Company.

Just now I have noticed another message which reads as:

"Your Voicechat validity expires on01-NOV-2009. You can make friends
till date without peying rental. Dial 56694 Charges Rs.3/min."

I have never asked for this service. But the message says that this
service is already active and would expire on[protected]. God Save Me.

Reliance /CDMA prepaid mobile service — deduction of charges without subscription

Sir,
my cdma mobile no.([protected]) is automatically being subscribe for mobile radio service since last two month and charges for that deducted.Last month also I talked with customer care representative and they had unsubscribed radio mobile service for my no., as I have received message on 06 mar 2010 at 11:45 hrs but charges for that not returned till now. Again today(19 mar 2010) I received a message for radio mobile subscription and charges for that deducted from my balance.This month also customer care representative says it is due to some system failure.Ultimately I am suffer since two month and uselessly my money is being deducted.please do the needful.

(ii) Also caller tune charge once deducted for 30 days of amount Rs 30/- , then again Rs 10/- deducted for 10 days within month. How?

Why customer are suffering on the name of system failure, always?

This type of activity laid down the reputation of a leading mobile company.
