Reliance Net — No credit for money paid to Web World

Address:Maharashtra

9 August 2011
Dear Editor,

Reliance directs their customers to the Web Worlds. When customers get cheated there, Reliance is not concerned.

I’m a 72 a year old senior citizen. On their illogical instructions I have spent Rs 700 in auto fares visiting the Web Worlds not counting the amounts unnecessarily I had to pay in recharging my net while I had paid enough in advance. I would like you to expose this apathetic approach of reliance please.

On 27 April 2011 from I purchased Kondhwa Web World the Net connect device for Rs 1600 and prepaid ₹3,000 towards 18 GB usage over six months; (Please see the invoices in the attachments).

1. After about a week, without any intimation to me, my line was turned off because the Reliance Web World did not send the application documents to the intended place.
2. It took me five days to find out why I did not have a connection. To restore my connection once again I submitted the same original documents to the Kondhwa Web World.
3. Instead of six months, only after seven weeks my connection was disabled again. Frantic enquiries revealed that my account was charged with only six GB for three months instead of 18 GB for six months. Reliance advised me to complain to Kondhwa Web World, where I had paid the bill. Reliance couldn’t contact direct and do anything.
4. I learnt that the Web World had shut down the shop and Wanwadi Web World had taken over the business.
5. I went to the new Web Word. Spoke to ZOM Mr Pradeep Kumar Singh (Mob: [protected]), who said he could do anything before 1 July.
6. To activate my account I paid ₹210 to them.
7. I immediately registered complaint with Reliance, No: [protected].
8. Reliance took me in conference with the manager, Pradeep Singh, of Kondhwa Web World. For no apparent reason this time they asked me to wait full three months (till 27 July 2011) to receive the balance credit.
9. To continue I further recharged my account twice with ₹200 each time.
10. On 27 July my account got locked again.
11. I have been again in conference with Reliance and the Web World. I was asked to wait a while to get the balance credit but that never happened.
12. On 23 July I lodged a new complaint No:[protected]. It transpired that Kondhwa Web World, before closing down, pocketed payments from many others as well. Reliance asked for five days to resolve. But they never did.
13. On 3rg and 4th August I complained to the Nodal Officer. Complaint No: [protected] dated 4th August. Ms Bidhya assured that I would be getting the credit within 48 hour. It turned out to be another lie.
Reliance doesn’t think it responsible if one gets cheated in their outlet.

Yours sincerely,

U S Jaiswal, Mob: [protected]
