[Resolved]  Reliance Netconnect — Billing overcharge

This is about the billing malpractice used by Reliance for the NetConnect service I had from them. Reliance has been billing me (possibly intentionally) from day one since I took the service. I had 4 month pre-pay unlimited service. They put me in the wrong plan and kept on sending me huge bills every few days. I had to make multiple calls each time before they would agree to their “mistake” (which I doubt was a “mistake”) and issue me a reversal of the charge. You can see sand verify it from the number of charge reversals to the account. In fact, they would suspend the service and I ended up paying for service which I never got. I have many business meetings with my USA counterparts in the evenings which I had to miss because of them. I bought the card from their salesperson Mr. Syed ([protected]) who knows the mistake and tried to help me but could not do so each time.
Once the pre-pay period of 4 months was over, I asked them to put me on monthly unlimited plan. It was about 1000 rupees per month. Soon, I again started getting billed for “excess bandwidth used”. My ordeal started again. Every time I called they said they will take care of it but they kept me on the wrong plan and billed me 5 to 10 thousands rupees before correcting the plan. But the old charges remained in my account and they continues harassing me. I later learnt that they seem to be indulging in such practice often. A quick search on internet brought me 100s of cases where consumers were put on the wrong plan and billed huge amounts.
I should have actually filed the case against them for wrongful billing, suspending the service and still charging, etc. But I didn’t want to spend time on them but now I have started getting random calls on their behalf asking for money and therefore forced to write to you for your intervention.
