[Resolved] Reliance Netconnect + — Charged Rs. 1800 extra for my Rs. 500 plan | |||
Hi, I was using BRDBND8GDY15GNGT500 plan ( daytime usage - 8Gb and Night time Usage - 15 GB) in reliance broadband plus. My billing cycle ends on 24th of every month. On 24th of September, i got a message from reliance that i have high data usage and hence i have been to pay Rs.1614 extra. But i was sure that i didn't cross the limit of 8GB/15GB day/night usage respectively. So i immediately took the screenshots of my usage shown in the Myservices website(http://myservices.relianceada.com) and also the usage shown in the reliance home page which opens as soon as we connect to the Internet. Both in the myservices website and in the reliance home page the usage was displayed as 7743 MB & 14174 Mb for day and night usage respectively. But in the bill which i got on 27th September, the usage was shown as 9347 MB & 17436 MB for day and night usage respectively. Meanwhile they disconnected my Internet connection on 26th September saying that i have to pay the amount to continue the services. On contacting customer care and after sending many mails, they said that there was some problem in the myservices website as it was going through some maintenance work for the past week. Even after sending them the screenshots of the usage which was shown to me through the reliance and myservices website, they are not agreeing that the mistake is from their side. They are just giving the reply as that i have been charged correctly and they cant do anything to waiver the overcharges. Even-though technically i have used beyond the limit, it was solely because of the misleading usage shown to me by Reliance. But they haven't considered my predicament and they answer irresponsibly that they cant do anything about it. So without any other choice(as i have been barred from the Internet service for 10 days) , i paid the extra amount 1817 + my regular bill 560 = Rs. 2377 in total today. Once i paid the amount, i got the service back. But i'm highly disappointed with the approach of the reliance netconnect team in responding to the issue raised by me. With a heavy heart I had to pay approx Rs. 1800 extra for the mistake committed my Reliance people :( Now i'm posting my experience here in this forum with a slight hope that the extra amount i paid will be refunded to me by Reliance. Also this could be throwing some light on other reliance netconnect + users. Users, please be careful with your data usage as you may get into trouble like me.
