[Resolved]  Rent — Owner refusing to return my security deposit

Dear Sir,

I came to mumbai & joined the company Godrej-Vikhroli. I took a room on rent through a person named Mr. Sandesh ([protected]) and paid him one month brokerage charge 4500/-. House Owners name is Mr Kailash sawant ([protected]), whom i paid a deposit of 40000/-, and agreed on a monthly rental of 4500/- per month.We made a rent agreement, whose original is with owner & photocopy with me. I took the room on 9/5/2011. the address of house is SRA 305 C Wing, Opp Kailash Complex, Siddharth Nagar Gruh Nirman Sansthan, Vinayak damodar saharkar Marg, Parksite, Vikhroli West, Mumbai-400079.

Now my company decided to send me to branch office kolkata permanently, & i have to relocate to kolkata. As per agreement i told him before a month that on 10 september 2011 i will vacate the room. But he is not ready to give my deposit back & told me that he will pay later but not on or before my vacating the room.
When i talked to broker, he also talked rudely and told that i will not get my deposit back whatever i do, & it is my fault that i am leaving.

Please help
