Retailers at many place, to name some, say retailers at shivaji park dadar west, charge extra Rs 1-2 above MRP for cold drink bottles. When asked reason for it, they say extra charged for cooling.

I am a student of MBA outside from Karnatak (Orissa)staying here in a rented house.I need to shop nearly Rs.5000.00 per month as groceries and vegitables for my mess.The problem is whenever I ask for any discounts or bargain on MRP the retailers here just deny and either turn us away or humiliate in their language which I can't understand.As a resident of Orissa whenever I shopped there for my family I got discounts everywhere and could bargain on everything. But I see locals bargaining on their shoppings and the retailer gives them. This is only not with me but with all the other students and outsiders here. They sell everything according to their wish.I have tried to change shops but its same everywhere.Sometimes they even charge us extra amount if we pay through Credit/Debit cards. They buy in bulk amounts of groceries and pack in small pouches here in their name and apply their own price. On Sundays the prices og vegitables are very high. Isn't againest the consumer law. We tried to convince them about the commercial given on broadcastings but they don't understand.They say that they aren't getting any discounts on MRP.How this is possible? By this the cost of living is gradually increasing. They even play jokes on us which we don't understand but we can feel it and feel humiliated.
So I request for your action on this.Not me only many like us will be thankful to you if you take strong action on this.
