[Resolved]  RO Water Purifier — Misguide or Cheating while Selling

Dear sir/madam,
I am Poonam Sinha a housewife in Delhi. We have one RO system fitted in our house last year. Its machine serial number is AG - RO 8024982 (Order no.- 026653) and it was purchased on 07-05-07.

It started when your sales executive Mr. Pyarelal Meena visited our house and told us that a lifetime on site warranty scheme is going on and we must grab this opportunity.

We asked, what is life time warranty?

He said that according to this scheme which is for a limited period we need not go for the AMC, it will be automatically care of; but we must pay for spare parts. We opted for the scheme.

We asked what about the lifetime guarantee certificate? He said it will come within three weeks from Mumbai after all the papers are processed. We had no reason for not believing.

The life time warranty did not come till about two months. We talked to Mr. Pyarelal Meena ; nothing happened. We started corresponding with their head office.

Ultimately, we got a shabby looking letter for the lifetime guarantee with a clause that it must be brought to their service centre to get this facility. We wore back that this is not what we were told by the sales executive Mr. Pyarelal Meena; we never received the reply.

So much time has passed and now a few days ago one of your service engineers comes and suggests that we must go in for AMC.

We asked him why and explained him the total story. He says that sales persons are like that only; there is nothing like lifetime warranty. He insisted that we must go in for lifetime warranty otherwise the breakdown will be too expensive.

Please tell me why you must misguide your customer when selling the machine. I feel myself cheated.

Could you tell your local office to deal with me as I was told while purchasing the RO system?

I thought myself a proud owner of Aquaguard RO system. At times it puts me in doubt that you may have laid down different styles of customer cheating when selling these machines. I would like your see the mission and vision statement of your company if it is there.

My I request you to kindly look into the matter and provide whatever was promised and not let your marketing executives spoil the reputation of company of such repute like Eureka Forbes
