A visit to the posh estate at 'Royal Palms' some six kms from Powai in Aarey Milk Colony greets you with a carved stone proclaiming 'Inaugurated by Balasaheb Thackeray.' Much to the ignorance of the Shiv Sena, their own legislators are now pointing fingers towards this property and Balaji Films at the Aarey Milk colony.
The matter when came for discussion in the assembly was replied by Minister of Dairy development Hasan Mushrif who said, “The land measuring some 17, 000 sq mtrs was allotted to Amir Nancy group to construct a link road and not buildings.”
The matter first came under the scanner by Sena MLA Gajanan Kirtikar. He also alleged that the Amir Group have shifted some tribals to the Aarey colony so that responsibility of rehabilitating them fell upon the state govt and constructing buildings on land given for road. Incidentally, Narayan Rane was the Revenue Minister in the then Shiv Sena-BJP government in 1998 when the allotment was made.
The area has already a full fledged star hotel, flats, school, malls and golf course in existence. The Dairy Minister offered a committee to investigate the issue in order to pacify the detractors rather than discuss relocation of tribals in this area.

I had visited Royal Palms in 2009 when they had offered flats at 3000/ft and Orchard Malls Shops at 3500/ft. But there was no buyer then.
Please advise if it is sensible to consider buying and flat and shop there for residence purposes???
I hear no water and poor electricity??

There is no electricity for 2-3 hours on a daily basis.(Is the electricity provided by Reliance or some other provider? Why is electricity not availiable?)
Residents have to pay toll naka.
There is delay in the construction period by more than 1-2 years.
If the answer to the above questions is YES, then it needs to be told to the media and government officials on an urgent basis. The state officials/ government should take corrective action. Royal Palms are advertising for 1/2/3 BHK's and office spaces in leading newspapers. The government charges stamp duty/ registration charges and should be responsible.
Who is Mr.Pawar? Is there no police station nearby?
