I got my DL processed in 2008 from Mayur Vihar Authorities, and they processed my request but captured my father in short instead of my complete name. That time, when I inquired, they told me not to be worried about it as, due to space constraints, they mentioned in short over DL, but in their system, everything was captured as per my form submitted. But now, when I request my DL Extract to be submitted to the Embassy for my international experience of India, I find they captured my gender as “male” instead of “female, ” and after their assurances, my father's name shows up as “G. G. Chandani” instead of Gautam Gyanchandani.

I submitted all the copies of my form, which I submitted until today to the authorities, "My Learning Liencen Form Copy and Other Forms and Application Form, " but received no response.

I had already paid for the DL extract service online on March 4, 2024, but authorities representatives were not at all listening and not correcting my details. In the past week, my father has been visiting authorities, and some time they sent him to Sarai Kale Kha, stating that it was the back office, and those people sent him to Mayur Vihar, stating they did not have any data as the case belongs to the Mayur Vihar authorities.

My simple question from you is: Can't the authorities check the photo of the person on DL? Was it their mistake? And why are we suffering? When they ask for a DL photo, they can't check the form that was submitted for DL processing. On the DL, there is no gender mentioned. How can someone imagine that they have captured gender wrong?

I have no words to express my dissatisfaction. Even when they see the same person coming on the same day, they send someone outside. Please give 2000 rupees, and your work will be done. Is this the way your authorities are working? There is no sense of responsibility after paying the online fee for DL extract. Why is there no transparency in our system? Is there any issue if people accept their mistake? I can understand that it may be a typographical error, but they have to accept and correct it. It is as simple as harassing mentally that someone is not acceptable for the other clerical errors.

Even when I wrote mail to "[protected]@gov.in" they mentioned that authorities have to edit; we cannot assist in this.

My extract application number is[protected], and the issue was reported online as #694116.

I got my license without any agents. Get your Adhaar card updated with new address ( with Bank passbook/Sale deed maybe). Use Adhaar as proof of adress. FYI, It'sot of procedure without an agent.

I have applied for learning license. I already have DL. When I went through driving school the process was quick. Now for 2 wheeler I applied it online by myself and went to kasturi nagar RTO banaglore, I have submitted all the docs. It's been more than 7 days still the status shows "SCRUTINY- (Document Verification) at SDA counter". The option of online application is provided so it will be helpful for people. When I went there for license, I was suggested to go through school since they pay bribe to them it will be approved soon. The rules are made strict, fines are increased everything is fine. But everywhere we only have to pay. What's benefit we get.. if the bribe is accepted at least remove online application then we don't have to do it twice. Keep it the way it was. Because any way we will have to struggle. Why struggle twice. Will there be no inspection on these things on RTO. Those people act so rude if it's online application. Seriously.

i have applied online for RC change and submitted original documents in person at RTO Jnanabharati and waiting since 1month but not yet received RC. this what is the level of our government departments, no body to check or question them. There is no customer support number for RTO service and it looks like there no sense of responsibility at RTO. It is mere waste of public money to such organizations.

I have the same complaint. I gave the test on 4-11-11 at andheri rto and passed. the agent said that the license will be delivered by post within 15 days. Today is 14-12-11. Now he says that rto is unreliable and that it may even take up to 2 months. Is there any website that can track the status of delivery of the driving license online?

Same problem i am also facing from Pune RTO, there is no online tracking system or RTI system. 7/8 times i have visited to RTO office for inquiry to permanent driving license, one officer adviced me that i can drive a vehicle on that recipt which i got from RTO and don't wait for license it will take may be more that 6 month.

This system is very bad, no one want to fullfill his duty's requiment honestly and still we are dreaming as become a superpower.

these goverment people are west just fire these guy and make it online. that why every one like US and want green card.

It has been 1 months now but I am not able to track my License, even the agent is refusing to answer since there is no tracking system for license.

I faced the same problem few months back and this is how I resolved it.

After waiting for my license for two months, I realized that the postman had come to my place but did not deliver the license as there was no one at home.

So I went to the Andheri RTO office with the chalan and an address proof.

First I took the chalan to the computer person (where you would have given your thumb print at the time of appearing for the license test) and he gave me the license number.

Then I went to window number 8/9. There I paid Rs. 50 and got a form. I filled up the form and along with the address proof I went to the next window where in 5 minutes I got the license.

Rememebr One thing - this service is available only till 12 p.m. So go in the morning.

Have anyone of you received your driving licence at some later point. It would be good to end the story with climax - good or bad. So within max 2 months I think one should have got the licence. Just wanted to know if you have received then after how many days did you received it. RTO office, wadala, mumbai informed that the renewed licence would reach at given adress within seven to ten days time. However since 30 days(renewal of licence applied on 16/12/2013 vide receipt no. I have given my Driving test for Teo Wheeler at Vshi RTO on 31-Jan-2014 & passed the test. And it was informed by RTO Agent that License will come directly through postal service within 10 days. It has been 20 Days now but I am not able to track my License, even the agent is refusing to answer since there is no tracking system for license.
Earlier RTO agents use to ensure proper delivery of License since it was hand delivered to them. But now neither agents are taking responsibility nor our RTO authority have any information centre regarding the same. People are suffering & struggling.

Same happened with me I applied for two whellers licence at Wadala RTO and its being 6 to 7 months that the enquiry counter saying me that "your licence will come to your home 10 din baad aa tu is this language is right ? And yes India is improving but peoples like this in Government section will not help Indian to grow.. And they are not giving licence in my hand . I went to one agent standing outside the Wadala r.t.o I explained him all my problem which I I had faced then he said 1600 give I will give you your licence on to your hand . See the bribe starts from your door only.

My Licence is 20 years old. I have applied for the change of address, trf from andheri rto to thane rto and also for renewal on 06.03.2014.
but as on date i have not recd the driving licence from rto. I enquire to the rto they informed me that the licence is renewed on 18.09.2014.

Lets address this issue to the transport minister along with PM. They even don't reply to your query. Is that why we are paying tax for them? Max of them are corrupted.

I had applied for Learning license with Aadhar Card, Ration Card, Pan Card and College Leaving certificate. Aadhar Card and Ration Card was having same address even though RTO guy asked me to furnish additional documents such as Electric Bill or Passport or Voter ID card. I am surprised with his additional demand ? Is it because I didn't went through agent ??? If website allows me to apply with Aadhar Card which id address as well as Identity proof why he is asking for more documents. It's very irritating that government officials themselves do not follow the rule and unnecessary demand for additional documents to harass the public. I have electric bill and voter card by its not mandatory to submit all documents for license. I though I wasted my entire day by coming here and there would be repetition again in second time.

One agent met me in RTO and he said he can get it done if I pay him 500 rupees. Same officer validated the documents without asking even single question. Having such a corrupt officials in system believe me no one in India can remove corruption.

If you don't have money you can't get anything by process. If you have money all process are set aside. It's very unfortunate.

I have given my Driving test for Two Wheeler at Wadala RTO on 5th October 2015 & had submitted my 4 Wheeler License for change of Name and address post marriage. I was informed by my Agent that I would receive the License within 2 months by Post.

Every month i had been following up with the agent, but they informed me that since the officer who was available on the driving test day, was on leave and it has been pending as no other Officer is ready to take his work. Last month when i contacted my agent, he informed me that the license had been dispatched in the 1st week of December, but since no one was available at my residence, it had gone back. So i visited the RTO office again with my ID proof, Chalan and had to give a declaration to re dispatch and I was informed that i should receive license within 10 days.

one of my friend send a document via speed post from Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh to Asansol in West Bengal as on 9th of Jan 2012 but still of 14th Jan, waiting for the document. Really its very poor Service.

Dear Sir,

I posted a letter through speed post (EU[protected]IN) from Lucknow to Delhi to get duplictae admit card for my son for AIEEE2008 exam 0n[protected]. It was delivered on[protected] where as the last date was[protected].I wasted time and money on getting the draft made for getting a dulicate admit card .

Further i posted application form for admission to Jamia, New Delhi on[protected] through speed post (EU[protected]IN ) . The last date is[protected]. It has not been delivered yet as on[protected]. I am afraid it will be delivered late too. It is not showing up in speed post tracking system also. Please give wide publicity to this information. The speed post system has collapsed.

Delay of Delivery
I have sent one speed post article on 14.09.08 (sunday) from agra johri bazar post office to delhi 92 vide no. EN[protected]IN. But the same reached on 19/09/08 . The speed post contain very valuable papaers and by not reaching to the destination would seriously cost huge loss to me. The P&T authority should immediately take action for late delivery .

We have been using the services of "speed Post", Postal service provided by Indian Postal Department(IPD).Everytime we send a post, we are given assurance that the delivery will be next day ( anywhere in india).We have observed that lot of our posts have been delivered on 5 days. The minimum time taken is the third day from the day of posting( even the local posts).We just want to know that with this kind o[censored]ncertainity, how can we, as customers, trust the Indian Postal Department.It has been observed that the private Courier services do keep their promise and deliver as it is promised ( the max time taken for delivery is 2 days - worst case), otherwise in a day. is their somebody who is accountable for this, The documents sent by post by anyone can be important and result in a severe loss if the time for delivery is not comfirmed. Why does Indian postal department cry over loosing business to the private courier services ( Is IPD being not as good as the private players a logical reason).Why would companies not mind paying more for a better service and timely service - the same could be looked at transparently by IPD and corrected. Just by reducing the rates for postal services the customers wont stick to the service provider, it is the accountability and service which matters to most of the customers.

I,Munendra Singh, got late delivery of speed post,posted on 18th of November 2009 from Moradabad to Noida,with "refference no.-SPEU[protected]IN". Due to which I could not attend my exam for the post of Probationary Officer in Corporation Bank dated on 22nd of November 2009.
I got the Telephone No. of Speed post centre of Noida sec-16 and called him with respect to my post then they told me that my post is in office and I can pick it up from office. When i reached to office then they told me my post is dispatched and will be delivered at my address but it could not reach by the day.

I had booked a Speed Post Article on 10Jan from Pune (MAH) to Ujjain (M.P.)
It should have reached by 13jan or atleast by 14jan, as per 3 days slot told to me at the time of booking on 10jan, but the same has not been delivered even until 14jan.
I don’t know why the assure us of timings if they can’t deliver it on time
At the time of booking, if none of there condition is met, the article is not accepted at all.
The guy (OLD MAN) at counter troubled me a lot on this.
Firstly told me to uncover the article and show what it is, I open the pack and did so, ask them for tape or pins to pack that again, but the OLD MAN replied, we don’t have any such things available, it is my problem.
Then after 10minz he said, we don’t accept Gift Packing articles. Get wrapped it in a cloth.
I met all the conditions but what is the result of all this. The delivery is not been done as per the mentioned date. The article is not delivered on time, and when I am calling the helping they are playing the blame-game, it is been dispatched from our side, check the other side, the other side says, we never got the article.
A very poor and careless network they are operating on. Not reliable at all.
I don’t feel like they would be ashamed at all. One of the worst services one could have.
Even the tracking system is not clear, on one side they are saying dispatched from Mumbai at 01:00 hrs on 12Jan, on the other side, sayin recived at Mumbai at 16:00 hrs on 12Jan i.e. dispatched from Mumbai before recieving. Check the attachment for the greatest tracking system one could think of.

i posted my pg entrance form from jallandhar to faridkot on 4th feb 2011 at 12;30.i was assured that it will reach in time as the last date of submission of form was 7th but it got delivered on 9th.it reached to ludhiana on the same day but for three days there was no movement that is on 5,6,7.and it got delivered on 9th to faridkot.what is the difference between speed post and an ordinary post?had i know this before i would have arranged for something else it costed me heavily i was not allowed to sit in exam.

One letter regarding my appointment to a group 'A' post in an organisation of Govt. of India was dispatched from New Delhi on[protected] to the following address: Qtr. No. 315, Block No. F1F2, Customs & Central Excise Residential
Complex, 7-Garcha 1st Lane, Kolkata-19 (speed post ref. ED[protected]IN).
I have shifted from the above address to the following address:
C-151, Customs & Central Excise Residential Complex, 179, Shantipally, Kasba,
Kolkata-700107 and duly informed the Postmaster, Ballygunge Post Office, Kolkata-19, on[protected]I have the receipt)
But the above letter returned to the dispatcher without being delivered to my new address.
Another speed post letter was also not delivered (speed post ref. ED[protected]IN) to me and ultimately I had to collect it personally from the Ballygunge Post Office.
It seems that postal delivery system has collapsed in the West Bengal.
