I was introduced to Sahara City Homes by a very pushy Sales Representative, Mr Mehul Pandya in February 2009. He was only interested in his commission and tried everything to secure the sale with his misleading advertising and hyped up sales tactics. After his several calls and finally a visit from him, I was forced to make a down payment (booking amount) of Rs2, 62, 600 on 27 February 2009 and an Allotment amount of Rs1, 31, 300 on 1 May 2009. On 2 May 2009, I received an Allotment letter from the Company confirming that possession of the 2 bedroom apartment would be handed over within 38 months from the date of the Allotment letter. Possession would therefore should have been in July 2012. This delay and especially the lack of communication from Sahara has caused me considerable stress.

Subsequent to getting a confirmation of booking, I started paying a monthly installment of Rs62, 003/-. In the second quarter of 2010, I inquired about the progress of the project as there was no communication from the Company. They had failed in their duty of care to customers. A good Company shows transparency, communicates with their customers regularly and posts actual photos of the development as time progresses. Sahara City Homes website removed it's photo gallery of construction status web page for Ahmedabad in 2010 so that no 'Aad Aadmi' could complain. I contacted Mehul Pandya several times in 2010 who simply lied about the construction updates and assured me that the project was a big hit and was in full swing. He kept referring to the Company's Lucknow project and how it trebled after completion and that the Ahmedabad project would also treble after completion. I also called the call centre number and was told that the project was ''In Full Swing''. So I took a visit to the site office in Ahmedabad and there was absolutely no construction work in progress. I could only see a sample house and their posh office, which must have been built from customers' installments.

I was persistent via email and phone, however, I when I was told that all approvals were in place and the construction was in full swing. Mehul Pandya left the Company suddenly and started communicating with several mangers who came and left after short periods. I was in consistent contact with Mr Ritesh Singh, Mr Manish Shah and Mr AsishKumar Singh. I was assured that this was the best project in Ahmedabad and was mislead that I carried on paying the monthly instalments of Rs62, 003 from 1 June 2009 and now totals Rs17, 98, 087 (plus booking amount of Rs2, 62, 600 and Allotment amount of Rs1, 31, 300) Total Amount Deposited with Sahara is Rs21, 91, 987. I have all the payment receipts from Sahara and kept all my emails which I sent to Sahara from February 2009 to date including recoded conversations with the Company's staff members.

My struggle to retrieve my money started after several site visits with no signs of possession and no construction work taking place on the site. Several previous Managers started ignoring my calls and the call centre reply was still that ''Construction was in full swing at Ahmedabad''. As a Aam Aadmi following the righteous path, I simply want a full refund and acceptable interest so that I can start living. I have been financial ruined by the Global recession, currently unemployed and suffering from severe stress caused by your company.

I am attaching the list of payments paid by cheques that I had deposited with Sahara:

Booking amount on 27 February 2009 of Rs2, 62, 600
Allotment amount on 1 May 2009 Rs1, 31, 300

Instalment of 62003/- every month Rs17, 98, 087
(from 1 June 2009 X 29 Installments)

Total Deposited with Sahara = Rs21, 91, 987

I humbly request you to look into the matter urgently and expedite the full refund of the monies I have made to date and payment of suitable interest. In the failure to get a response, full refund and the interest due, I will be forced to file a complaint under the Consumer Protection Act of 1986 and also the Real Estate Regulation Bill. This consumer complaint will be at your cost and expense and will be required to address the mental agony caused to me due to your lack of transparency and deficiency in catering to the issues raised. Please do not ask me to talk to your branch as I am not getting a satisfactory response from there. I assume you have control over your branches and request you to take appropriate action and communicate the end result to me.

You nade partial or full payment to Sahara City Homes for a house or flat but the construction never started or if it started you never got possession even after many years past due date. The Sahara City homes schemes run in many cities including Pune, Lucknow, Indore, Nagpur, Chennai etc.

I, Surendra Kumar Gutgutia resident of Hatia Road, PO - Madhupur - 815353, Dist - Deoghar, Jharkhand had deposited Rs.10000/- on 31.12.1998 in Sahara 14 vide receipt no.[protected] in the name of my minor daughter Baby Doll. Maturity value & date was Rs.70000/- & 31.12.2012 respectively.
Almost after running two months for maturity payment I was finally given payment on 22.02.2013 vide cheque no. 030712 drawn on Allahabad Bank, Madhupur. An amount of Rs.4273/- was short paid to me. When enquired I was told that TDS had been deducted. I was surprised to see that in the same scheme and almost same maturity date TDS had not been deducted in many accounts, whereas in my deposit TDS had been deducted.
Regarding this I had also given a letter to Sahara India, Madhupur branch on 06.03.2013 asking them reason behind this and also requested them to provide year wise TDS deducted in my above deposit. But till now they have neither responded to my letter nor provided any details of TDS deducted.
About a week back I downloaded Form - 26AS, an Annual Tax Statement under section 203 AA of the Income Tax Act. 1961, for the Assessment year 2013-14 and was surprised to see that no credit is showing against my PAN AGLPG8056H of Rs.4273/- which clearly indicates that TDS deducted on my above deposit not paid by you in the Income Tax department. Whereas as per Income Tax Law any deduction on account of TDS till the end of financial year i.e. 31st March has to be deposited till 31th May.
This is a gross violation of Income Tax law and loss to exchequer.
Please lodged my strong complain and take stern action for this malpractice.

Sir, I had invested (1) Rs.30875/= in "SAHARA RAJAT YOJNA"(Silver Year Labh Yojna) dated[protected] and (2) Rs.10004 in "SAHARA RAJAT YOJNA"(Silver Year Labh Yojna) dated[protected].) Both are regarding housing or as fixed for 10 years stating refund 2.5 times on maturity date (.) I visited Sahara office situated at S.K.puri Patna but they said , wait for maturity period and nothing to worry ; again I asked for refund before maturity period they replied tomorrow will come and repeated the same word on next visiting (.) The Passbook No[protected] was issued to me.

No intimation has been received by me about deposit or future plan.

Kindly help me to know about my money and refund process.

I have deposited rs.20000/- (Rs.10000+10000) on 5/4/2005 in sahara in their sahara rajat yojana vide receipt no-[protected] and [protected] dt[protected] in the branch noida city code-2670 in a/C no-[protected] and [protected] in the name myself,ram prakash agarwal and my son, mayank agarwal rs 10000/- Each respectively on the pretex of their agaent mr parmod sharma that sahara will provide good houses in their either in present/Proposed housing complex schemes in ncr in 1-2 year and they will give 15/18% interest on deposit and on my option either adjust or will refund the amount with interest after 3 years. Even after 7 years they have offered nothing also not refunded my money. Contact no provided is disconnected etc. When viseted their office in noida nothing has worked out till date.
I shall be greatful for helping in getting my due refund.

hamne ek life insurance policy li thi sahara india(branch in raddi chowki) bank me ,after the death of my father we claim for that ,hamne sare papers submmit kiye but atlast bank walo ne kaha aap ko claim ka amount nahi mil sakta because of the fault of his own branch ,because bank walo ne papers time per submmit nahi kiye the .please help me and provide me a proper solusation for that .

We booked a flat in Sahara City Homes Chennai Project in the year 2004 by paying an advance of Rs83750. Today Sept 2012, project was not yet started and no details about this to the customers.

If we buy a land with that amount in my hometown, now it will be Rs10 to 15 Lakhs(to that point real estate grown)

* If they provide us on time, we dont have burden on my shoulders for living.Atleast we have to tell one property is in chennai;
* Who will bare this loss?

Not only me, there are so many customers faced this problem.

Please Provide me the solution and compensate accordingly..

I am very disappointed with such a bad service from Sahara City Homes.
I had cancelled my flat in Sahara City Homes, Nagpur 4 month back. but i haven't got any refund amount till date however, refundable amount should be revert within 45 days.
but Sahara homes is not stand on his commitment.
staff from Sahara is not supportive at all. I called many times to Sahara homes office but i am getting only answer " your money will revert soon"
Sahara is Cheating with customer and making them fool.

This is to bring into your kind consideration that i am resident of Sahara City Homes,NH-3, Mango.(near Big Bazar). Off late there has been two major electricity short circuit since may'12 late night which had led residents to come out of the building whereas as per the builders they claimed in their advertisement also in internet that fire safety exists and Fire Hydrant Points. But i would like to inform you that not a single fire extinguisher is installed in any of the buildings. a dumper loaded with sands is called late night to bring down the fire. Inspite of paying regular maintenance fees such kind of safety standards exists in such a big society. All peoples including children's,animals life is on risk.

The major reason of repeatedly fire is no routine check of electrical components and cheap quality of wires installed which have been not replaced till date. People are shouting on builders but it seems no affect on builder.

i would request you to please send an inspection team and take necessary action against the builder who has put so many peoples life on question.

I have deposited Rs.18000/- vide ( per month 500 X 36 Months), vide my account no. [protected]. As per your scheme after 3 years I can able to withdrawal 100% amount which I had deposited. As I had completed 3 year in the month of March 2012 & also filed for the refund, But till date neither I have received any refund nor any communication. Please help in getting my original amount.

before some day my mother meet one of your agent whose name is Mr.Dahyabhai Raval who is working in your Vijapur branch in gujarat . your agent explain your fix deposit plan to my mother and take a sign on one of your document now from yesterday onward that agent says to my mother for pay rs 18000/- becoze he make one policy in favour of my mothers name.

so sir can you explain me how can your company issue any policy ( or fix deposit certificate) without any document provide by customer and why you people allow this type of things in your organization.

this is bring to your notice that I filed for withdrawal on 25th Nov. Sahara India has informed me that fund has been received to there kamla Hagar branch of new Delhi on 20th Dec. Till today 1st of Jan 2012 fund has not be transfered to my icici bank.

there was nexus between Sahara branch manager and icici branch manager to delay fund transfer till 2nd Jan 2012 so that there year end balance sheet looks good.

I have been given interest till 25th Nov so I last interest on approx rs 335182 for 35 days.
