[Resolved]  Savings Account — CORRECTION IN NAME OF ACCOUNT HOLDER

I am holding a savings account with Godrej Extension Counter having Account no. 758 in the name of Poonam Mahindroo and Anil Mahindroo. This counter was closed about a year back and the said account was shifted to Sukhdev Vihar branch and a new account no [protected] has been allotted by the bank.

While allotting the new number the name of the account holders has been changed from Poonam Mahindroo and Anil Mahindroo to Poonam Mahindroo and Poonam Mahindroo. When the same is pointed out to the Manager available on phone no 26836914 suggested to make an application in this regard only then the correnctions in the account holders name will be made. He further told that the application should be signed by both the account holders and are required to come in person to the Sukhdev Vihar branch for getting the needful done.

The bank is willing to correct the mistake done by them only if the account holder will make a request letter in person to them, which is not understood.
