[Resolved] Savings Account — deduction of minimum balance charges | |
I am the account holder of SBI since 1982. When I opened the account with SBI that time minimum balance condition in savings account was Rs. 5. I was NRI and used to send thousands of Rs from abroad. I transfered some of my savings in to India Dev. Bonds, F.C bonds, and kept lacs of Rs in fixed deposits. In 1995, I came back to Mumbai and joined IDBI Bank as their first CTO, to set up the bank. My account with SBI was being operated as savings account. I used to receive dividends on shares from various companies in to my account with SBI. But since 2005 SBI started deducting monthly Rs 55 and more as 'minimum balance charge'. This action was taken by the bank without informing me. Now I closed the account but my locker is with SBI. For locker rent SBI sent me a letter. Question is why the same way I was not sent a letter before deducting the 'minimum balance charges'. Is the SBI charging similarly for all the customers for less minimum balance? or is it that I am treated like a dirt by the personal banking officer? I am confused with the attitude of so called clearks promoted officers without officer like qualities. I would like to mention one such officer is Donde. I need answer to this attitude. Saving Accounts — Deduction of amount
Just they have started the cutting of Rs per transation deposit or withdrowal for any amount if you do transaction in any branch other then the mother branch.One side they say it is centerlised bank you can bank from any where and other side they start cutting money with out knowledge of the client.
savings account — Query regarding ESI from salary account.
Dear Sir,My Salary account is in BOAT CLUB - PUNE Branch The no. is [protected].
My EMI for Home loan ( Take from HDFC only ) is Rs. 11771 / - pm and the due date is 25 th of every month.
For this month of APRIL 2009 the EMI is bounced. I would like to know what is the reason?
From APRIL 2009 I have done ECS from HDFC Bank Boat Club branch- My salary account.
Previously the ECS was from ICICI Bank.
Please tell me why EMI is bounced ? and now what I should do to give my EMI to HDFC for my home loan.

savings account — Inappropaiate debit from savings account
HiThis is to inform you that HDFC bank has wrongly deducted Debit card fees of Rs 500 from my SB account no [protected]
on 27th Oct 09 without my consent and because of this debit my cheque no 759729 of Rs 600
was dishonored and additional Rs 350 for cheque bouncing was charged from me .
Because of this auto debit, my another cheque issued to ICAI,my esteemed professional body gots bounced
and I was debited Rs 350 further .This causes me personal harm also as my reputation is also damaged by this.
I failed to understand that how you can deduct such charges without the customer’s consent.
When this card was issued to me 3 years back, I was promised that there will be no recurring charges
on this Gold card. So, I am very surprised to get this deduction from my account. Earlier I was using
normal debit card and people from your bank comes to me and offered me this Gold card free of
cost with promise of no recurring charges during my lifetime as special corporate offer.
I am extremely disappointed and thinking of switching to some other bank.
This is totally irresponsible behavior from people representing HDFC bank.
So I will really appreciate if you can help me on this.
I want all these charges( Rs 500 + Rs 350) to be reversed ASAP.
I have already made a oral complaint and they that it cannot be reversed
and they will check again.
savings account — Reg. Uncleared amount
Resp. Sir,My a/c no. Is [protected], in main branch Hajipur Dst. Vaishali,Bihar.My acount's gross ballance shows allways less Rs 2000 as uncleared amount.
So,kindly correct this error pls.
