[Resolved]  SBI - Internet banking — Activation Problem-New Type

I am running from pillar-to-post to get a new type of internt-activation problem, solved. I opened my SB a/c in late 2006, (just before my retirement) for Govt of India, to credit my defence pension. Later I applied for an Internet Banking Account and the kit did not work. Now I find that someone in SBI has discovered that my internet account was mapped as "Corporate Account" (whereas I have opened a "Personal Banking" a/c), and hence I can't use internet banking! (I can't even see my balance--same problem "invalid user name/ password). )Everyone gives a solution, and then says it is not possible to solve my problem. One solution (which 99% at SBI have given is to close the present account and open a new SB a/c. When I tell them it is an account opened for my pension, then no one knows what to do; because pension accounts cannot be closed. Otherwise the pension also may not be received. A friendly officer, when he tried to solve this problem through someone in Bombay SBI, he was rebuffed that Bombay offices should not be pestered with this problem.! The toll free[protected] I talked to 3 people -- one of whom wanted to know in which state Cochin was situated; and another does not know what a Corporate account is. But everybody thanked me for having called SBI, but not help solve my problem) ) redirected me to the LHO by giving Tel. nos. of Local Head Offices (Project Director-Internet Banking). Each time it goes to a Fax or number not correct. (Visualise what these BPOs are doing).
Everyone tells me they will come back to me with a solution (I have told them my email ids, tel nos., mobile nos, date of birth, a/c numbers, and anything else you may need to verify my genuineness!) I am yet to get a response from anyone in SBI.

MY FREE ADVICE TO OTHERS: PLEASE MAKE SURE "WHEN YOU ASK FOR AN INTERNET ACCOUNT" THAT YOUR ACCOUNT GETS "MAPPED" TO "PERSONAL BANKING" AND REMIND THE BRANCH THAT IT IS A PERSONAL BANKING A/C ONLY. (Don't Ask me what this "mapping" is, AT LEAST for now).

The "technical" in me suggests to SBI that the computer-wise powerful-person (I hope one is there) should simply instruct the computer (after getting clearances from the bosses) that to err is human; and computer should forgive everybody; and permit SBI change my "profile" to "Personal Banking" -- Simple isn't it.
Alternatively, this non internet banking a/c clubbed with another a/c of mine where internet is working!

I am sure that the technology still provides for computers to listen to the authorised administrators.

I have sallary account in SBI SEEPZ Mumbai.i forget the username or password of my internetbanking iasked to coustmercare officer regarding this issue he told me just drop an application they will reconfigure your account.But when i went to SEEPZ SBI the officers told me it will charge of 50 rupees.But customer care officer told me there is no charge for password reset.Please do something needfull.

I am Vanga Ramulu .I has applied for Net Banking to my S.B.I Account (a/c.no-[protected] Branch.Code:3265 Birpur Bihar). I got a letter from your sbi branch (letter S.No-P1148386 Airway Bill No-S2997764) in that letter i got a net banking password to my account but i did n't get user name for net banking to my a/c yet. In that letter you mentioned -"your user name sent on registered mobile or dispatched". But we did n't get user name neither to my mobile nor a letter.
So can you please send my net banking user name to my mobile no-[protected] once or send a letter to my address (mentioned at the time of Appling the net banking requisition from in the bank)

Sir My Account no. is [protected]. Before 1 to 2 weak's I have taken a Net banking facilitiy. I got it same day on which I applied for it. But unfortunately, this facility worked normally only one weak After that i mapped 3 rd party account s after this when ever i login showing only the following message about this problem i given complaint in my branch they are telling we sended request for.SBI internet banking pls wait up to today one weak is completed from complaint given date Alert 30-Dec-2011 [06:26 PM IST] You do not have any accounts mapped to this username. Please contact your branch.

i cant able to access only SBI site in my laptop. For the last 2 weeks i am trying to do this.. All other bak sites are opening. Only SBI online has the problem. pl say a solution.
Sbi is a govt bank. I think they have no time to solve there problems,

Sir i have been opted for Internet banking.When i want to log-in my Account it opens my profile & shows the account balance also.

But when i am going to transfer my fund it does not works.And there is a message showing in the screen that YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY

TRANSACTION RIGHT.I have complained it in my branch (KRISHNA NAGAR, DELHI).At the same time the branch is saying that they have done it.
