[Resolved]  SBI Railway Credit Card — Not accepted my request for SBI railway credit card

Sir,
Long back (may be more than a year) i have applied or SBI railway credit card. four months back one telecaller lady called me from Bangalore and told that we want to give SBI railway card. I said Ok give me. From that point onwards i have received more than ten calls from your telemarketing team regarding my complete details.Finally they told we are sending our Rep to collect the documents. two to three times i gave time and was waiting nobody has come to collect. Then the same telecaller phoned me and asked did our Rep come?. I said no, then he told sorry (This story continued for one week). Finally one fellow (Rep) came to my house and collected Xerox copy of the ID proof and filled in application signed by me.After a week i received a message from TA-SBI card that my application is under processing, in the mean time one more fellow came for address check and he enquired how long u r staying etc.
At this point of time i thought that though it was late but this SBI card team is really working very systematically for issuing Card like that. After this much of disturbance to me by phone call, collection of all details, last week i have received a message that "We regret, we are unable to accept your request for SBicard at this point of time as it does not meet our internal policy for card issuance".
By reading this message i was really shocked because
for the past five years i am using only IRCTRC for booking my railway tickets without any credit card facility.
I am a Central Govt. Class I officer with PayBand 3 serving since 2003 and income tax assessee
On what basis they have rejected my request.
If i am not elligible for the card, i surprised who else are eligible for your card.
How your TA-SBI team is working i dont know even if they are fooooolish to the core also cannot reject my application. (i am really v sorry use such a harsh word)
Now what i want is Defnitely i dont want your card at this time, but i want my documents back

Kindly return my signed application and ID proof xerox which were collected by you Rep.

SBI IRCTC Card - Before you read this review, i apologize for the length of the review. But i assure you that i have tried to cover all the terms and conditions of the SBI railway card for the people benefit.

I got a call from a man (KAMLESH) telling that he is calling on behalf of IRCTC (Really they r agents for SBI credit Card).

He told that irctc offers u card with the following benefits
- No platform ticket for any railway platforms in INDIA (No rly officials r aware of it)
- No transaction charges for internet ticket booking(1.8%).
- 10% Cash back for AC tickets. Railway points for all the tickets booked online using the card.It also can be used as credit card.
- Initially no charge for 1st year and if you like the card you can renew it by paying 300/- Rs 350 bonus points.

He was asking for the documents on the same day by giving the reason that there executives are in bangalore circle today and tomorrow they will be in mysore circle. He said because you are using irctc for 4 years so it is a offer for your transactions in IRCTC. I asked for some time and verify the card details on the website:

He again called saying that he will send the executive tomorrow and before that he will give me a call. I told him that this card is not beneficial to me as i travel in 3 tier AC mostly. Then he told that i can use this card as a credit card.Next day he called me but before that i read the card reviews on Mouthshut and told him that i am not interested in the card as i am getting good offers from my already existing cards. And the card is not beneficial for a sleeper and 3 tier passengers.

After that he started talking harshly that you wasted my time and put your phone down etc..He was calling from the following number - [protected] and [protected]

Benefits as mentioned on the website:
1) Get 10% of your base fare as Railway Points, on AC class (except 3 AC) railway tickets
2) benefit from an exclusive 1.8% transaction charge waiver on your credit card transactions

Other benefits and hidden terms and condition copied from irctc website (http://www.irctc.co.in/loyalty.html)

Please read carefully on the above mentioned website as there are many cons.
1) Points can be redeemed only after minimum of 500 points accumulated
2) You must be one of the passengers on the ticket to earn Railway Points. Also, Railway Points will be awarded only on your individual fare
3) If you cancel a redeemed ticket before the date of journey, you forfeit 50% of the Railway Points, over and above the existing cancellation charges

SBI should teach their tele-executives about the manner. Their work is to sell their products but it depends on the customer whether they want to take or not.So be careful when this call comes to u.Think whether it is useful to u and go for it.

I got a call from a woman telling that he is calling on behalf of

mobile that ur card is processing.But now the current status is the
card is drooped by SBI.

SBI IRCTC CREDIT CARD---Robbing the customers bigtime

This is a useless credit card. I think the whole SBI bank itself is very backward, and does not suit the current times.
I have been using this useless credit card and paying huge financial charges every month. No other bank charges so much.
I have lost my peace of mind thinking of the credit card satements generated every month.
The financial charges are more than the my expenditure with this card.
Please beware and do not opt for this card, you will end up loosing most of you bank balances.
Also the reward point system is a bogus. All the points turn to zero by the end of every month, even when you dont redeem the points.
Shame on SBI for designing such a useless credit card, and least expected from the most reputed of all the banks.
