[Resolved] Siemens Washing Machine — Drum cracked with huge sound | |||
I am house wife from Mumbai. I am Siemens Washing Machine customer for last 12 years. I was fully satisfied with front loading M/c MM1000 which I used for more than 8 years. Three years before I replaced the WM1000 with the Siemens new front loading washing machine. This machine was working satisfactory. But unfortunately on 28th Feb,12 suddenly the machine stooped working by giving huge sound The sound was so huge that the residence of our society rushed to our house as an emergency call. After investigating, what was wrong with the machine? It was revealed that the drum in which we load the cloths was torn out / cracked without no reason. Also spoiling and tearing my cloths costing approx Rs 8000/- Where I always used to praise the Siemens washing machine I was shameless in front of all society members as the scene was self explanatory. I immediately called Siemens service center they promptly attended the complaint and left with the quotation for replacement of drum Rs 7960/- In this regard several occasions I talked to the washing machine service head Mr Victor to waive off the drum cost and put machine in operation but he is not agreeing to waive of the charges, rather he stopped lifting my telephone and also not replaying to my e- mails I argued with Siemens that the heavy stainless steel drum which some one can't break by hammering is tearing off/cracking means there must be some manufacturing defects or assembling fault. Instead of going in depth of root cause they simply trying to recover the damage from customer who has already lost for the clothes Rs 8000/- Since the service department head is not responding to telephone and e-mails, I tried to search the seniors contact details on Siemens washing machine website but the senior person contact details are not available on the web site. I expect some senior person from Siemens washing machine division should help me sort-out issue and make my machine workable at free of cost. Hi Iam also form chennai. I purchased siemen washing machine in 2012. today i have called for service. he told that the drum is broken. he told the cost of the drum is 8000/- and collected 800/- for visiting. please don't go for the siemens washing machine
Hi I got Siemens iQ100 same issue here at my end, drum has some problem.. Definitely it's manufacturing defect because services center gur told without any delay that for this machine this is very common problem faced by all... Please do not go for Siemens washing machine
I have similar issue. My siemens 5.5 KG A7-016 was bought in 2009. We were not using it so often. Recently we started using it and all of a sudden we started getting sound when we run the spin function .
The technician charged 800 just for telling ( not even touched the machine) that drum assembly would need to be replaced for 13, 700. He had enquired all the issues over phone before coming and he could have told the issue then only.
Siemens Bosch should have been more customer friendly by allowing these parts to be repaired rather than full replacement.
I think they don't mind losing business. I will not buy siemens bosch nor will recommend to anyone.

My siemens washing machine iQ100 model got service complaint, and the technician visited and charged Rs 800/- to tell that the drum shaft is cut, which costs 6835/= and two shock absorbers to be replaced costing Rs 3136 and carbon brush erosion costing Rs 1935 and leg balancing needs Rs 1840, and service charge Rs 800. He said it will take 10 days to replace them after ordering the spare parts. He told in market siemens own product for drum cleaning powder has come for past 4 years it is being sold, and we have 7 years old machine, so old customers were never been informed about this maintenance with powder, except vinegar was suggested.
The service manager Mr Shaji, , from Trichy he gave big excuses with different reasons for breaking, but never agreed to replace or give discount atleast for replacement of parts. The technician suggested to put the washing machine for sale and go for new own with exchange for Rs 1000/ at the maximum for a new one.
So after spending about 30000/= rs in year 2012, we ended up with Rs 1000 worth broken peice of machine. Such a careless service attitude and we dont even know the service center exists here with a show room in Trichy.
Hope siemens see this and respond or exit from market, it doesnt deserve kudos at all.
