[Resolved]  Siemens Washing Machine — SERVICE NOT PROPER

I am SUJA.We bought a Siemens Washing Machine from GIRIYAS, Coimbatore in April 2001. The models name was WM 2020. There was a 2 year warranty on this machine. At the time of purchase the Siemens Washing Machine was more expensive than other brands such as LG Samsung etc
Even then we bought the Siemens washing machine because of the words which could be seen for any SIEMENS product. The words are given below.

Our hard earned reputation for innovation, quality and reliability is fully backed up by nationwide customer service here in Ireland. We think the quality of our customer service is just as important as the quality of our products, as nobody knows your home appliance better than the people who make them”.
“We offer you the service from our team of experts, our well trained technicians have strong product knowledge, you can be sure that you will receive the most reliable and efficient service by highly experienced staff.
For 5 years there was no trouble and then there was a problem in closing the door. Then we changed the locking system and then it worked fine for another three years. Later it started leaking and we called for the service person to check it out. He responded only after calling him for more than 20 times and after contacting the Chennai service centre. He later came for checking up where he failed to make a thorough check. But in his service note he entered that as if he has been checking it for 1 hour. He then told us that we have to change the Drum assembly shaft and told that it has to come from Germany. Then again we waited for nearly one and a half months and finally he arrived with the Drum assembly shaft which costed around Rs.4000. While fitting it he didn’t have any tools or so. He took it to some workshops nearby and then he fitted. Again he told that gasket needs to be replaced and we purchased that also for another Rs.2000. then he told that the shock absorber need to be changed and this we purchased for another Rs.1000+service(?) charges Rs.500. after that it started running but with some unusual noise and the water not getting drained properly. We made him a complaint about the problem and we called him two times for which he did not respond. Then one day while the machine was washing suddenly there was a smoke coming after which we immediately switched off the machine and called him. Even then the smoke didn’t seize. Hence we opened the machine. We were really shocked to see the flames of fire. Both o[censored]s are working if this happened when both o[censored]s are at the office what would have happened? After two days and again calling him for a number of times he came and this time he said that the motor need to be changed. The cost of the motor would be around Rs.5000.
We are now stuck with a washing machine which does not work. Now the problem is if for the first time he came he would have told that the repairing charges would be around Rs.7500 we would have decided to purchase a new washing machine. We do not know whether he hided the truth or he was not aware of proper trouble shooting it was we who spent our hard earned money without any fruit.
Now what we have decided is that let them refund the amount we have spent and let them take all the spares also.
Keeping such poor service and ill design machine, I would request please stop selling such machine and making life hell of the customer. I thing company without proper service setup and spares stock should be banned in INDIA

Hi am gowtham from chennai.am also irritated with siemens. i bought siemens washing machine from vasanth&co on 1st 2012 but yet no one came for installation.fed up by making call for those guys for installation.i went to vastan&co to buy samsuns or IFB but ended up with siemens, basters i pissed off with this siemens.
