[Resolved]  South Central Railways — Local MMTS train delays

I work in Hi-Tech City, Hyderabad and commute by Local MMTs trains shuttling between Faluknuma and Lingampally stations. The Local MMTS trains have been incomprehensibly late from past 3 months. This is happening on a daily basis. Even the trains in the morning between 7Am to 8AM are also running late. It is understandable the trains being late later in the day by 5 to 10 minutes (acceptable but still not upto mark) and in the evening but even trains between 7AM to 8AM also being late by good 30-40 minutes on a regular basis is very pathetic.

I travel from Kacheguda station to Hi-tech city in MMTS local train number 47152 which is scheduled to depart at 7:40AM. It does depart from Kacheguda at the specified time but never reaches the Hi-Tech City station by the scheduled time of 8:26AM. It some how use to reach at least by 8:35AM earlier. For the past 3 months it has been further delayed by another 15 minutes. This is a total delay of 25 minutes which is more than 50% of the scheduled time of travel. This is highly unacceptable by even our shabby indian railway standards.

The woes of later trains is even worst and pathetic. The Faluknuma-Lingampally mmts local train 47154 is even more pathetic reaching the Hi-Tech city station late by more than 50 minutes. It is not worth to say that all later trains are delayed much further.

This delay in trains compound and the evening trains are further delayed with delays between 30-50 minutes.

To make things even worst the Rail authorities does even show courtesy of announcing delay in trains in the public announcement systems. They are busy running their commercial advertisements in the Public Address system.

There is no sign of improvement and no one seems to be bothered about the thousands of commuters from various groups like Vegetable Vendors, Software Engineers, Daily wagers, Bank employees etc using these local MMTS trains.

The responsible authorities need to take these issues more seriously and start resolving them. The initial promise at the launch of Hyderabad MMTS that it would be of the standard of local trains in Mumbai and would help reducing the traffic on roads and thus pollution is still a day dream of an Hyderabadi.
