Sub: Disgraceful act by SPICE JET Airlines
Sir,
On 08 May 2011 I had confirmed tickets of Air India for the journey from Kolkata to Coimbatore by AIC 676 and AIC 657. PNR No. RDCLJE / IC Tkt No[protected].
2. Due to certain reason both the flights were cancelled and I was endorsed in Jet Airways by 9W 0202 for Mumbai on FILM. For further journey from Mumbai to Coimbatore FILM for SPICE JET SW 109 was issued to me by DM Air India Mumbai. On reaching 1 B terminal at SPICE JET counter I was asked to hold till the checking-in is closed. After check-in was closed, Mr. Santosh of Spice Jet (Mo. [protected]) identified himself as DM Spice Jet informed me at 1225 (ETD 1250) that he will not allote me any seat in Spice Jet although there were two seats vacant . He further emphasized me to buy the seat by offering me the seat on full payment.
3. It was quite evident from his act of his that when the National carrier Air India was in crisis, this gentlemen wanted to take advantage by selling the seats as late as 20 minutes before departure breaking all airline rules rather than accommodating one passenger of Air India an FILM. And SW 109 departed with two vacant seats.
4. The cheap act of Spice Jet staff had not only disrespected National carrier but also humiliated one Defense Pilot for mere collection of ready cash on the sport rather than wait for transfer ticket charges from Air India. In the bargain he not only lost passenger, more than that their respect and reputation.
5. It is therefore my humble request that the matter may be looked into at the highest priority and the defaulters may kindly be dealt with proper punishment so that in future no one else suffers like me.
With warm regards,
