[Resolved]  State Bank of India — SBI IRCTC Railway card

I got a call from a man telling that he is calling on behalf of IRCTC (Really they r agents for SBI credit Card).
He told that irctc offers u card with the following benefits

1.No platform ticket for any railway platforms in INDIA(No rly officials r aware of it)
2.No charges for internet ticket booking(1%).
3.10% Cash back for AC tickets.
4.Railway points for all the tickets booked online using the card.
5.It also can be used as credit card.
6. Initially Rs 500/- payment in that Rs 350 as rly point.

As it was Saturday I said call me on Monday I will come after looking in deep the full details.But he dint give me time and he said it is a offer for ur transactions in IRCTC .But after applying it on Sunday I came to know that what he said was all bull and AC tickets 10 % cash BACK, rly points etc all for AC(2 tier), I Class and not for 2 class, 3rd AC ETC.
The telecaller dint mention me

1.No points or benfits for 3rd AC, 2 sleeper, 2 Sitting(10% cash back and rly points for only for AC(2 tier), I Class).
2.He dint tell that I have to pay rs 300 from 2 year onwards.
3. No rly officials r aware of irctc card holder no need to take platform ticket.
4. Only after gaining 500 points u can book ticket in AC 2 Tier and I Class and not in other low seatings.
I am non AC travellor and the card is simple credit card for now to me(when there r free credit cards available from others this is a paid card).

So be careful when this call comes to u.Think whether it is useful to u and go for it.

Dear Sir,

Pardon for my tone of my letter .I am using SBI Credit Card for the last 7 years, even though I was an loyal customer to SBI Cards I don’t get any service on my issue from your side.

The issue is as per my 23rd April statement my total Outstanding on the card was Rs.20, 797.54. I made a payment of Rs.21, 000/- on 14th of May 08 Cheque No: 344402 from my husbands account SBI IIT Branch account, who also has an add on card. For some reason my Cheque got returned on 17th May 08, but the same cheque No 344402 was represented without my knowledge for collection and got cleared on 19th May 2008.

From 19th May till date the payment is not credited in my account and above this there are charges levied in my account as late payment charges Rs.600/-, Finance charges Rs.772.95 and Total GST debit Rs.298.02.

I have rised this issue with your call center team but there is no one seems to be working for this issue because it’s not their money, they just give a fax no and wants me to fax all the details for claiming my money which was taken by your company that to without my concern.

Over this I also get calls at least 3 to 4 time in a day starting from morning 7 AM asking for payment, which pushed us to take this matter with RBI Banking Ombudsmen asking for justice and also claiming for my money.

I want to understand one thing from your side that why there are no Sr. Official from SBI Credit Card service are not coming in line to solve an issue and also why your call center executive are not directing the customers to Sr. Official or they don’t want to give any detail about the Sr. Official or they don’t escalate the issue to them.

As an loyal customer can we get to meet any one of your Sr. Official of SBI Cards in case of any grievances or all the Official are behind the screen hiding them self from customer complaints.

I kindly request you to work in this regards at the earliest and solve the issue by waving all the charges levied in my credit card account or I will be forced to file a criminal case with Law against the Head of Customer Service for not crediting my payment received from the client and misusing my money and also I will take up this matter with Press.

IRCTC — wrong billing of credit card

I booked my ticket irctc dated 18.08.2008 through my icici credit card amount was Rs 1094/-amount was deducted two times .is due to any fault from your system kindly webof one times charges.

I agree with the sender of the mail (could not find the name). I was also told exactly the same as above, but my woes started even before me receiving the card. Suddently today, after 3 weeks of the SBI/IRCTC representative collecting signature and xerox copies from me, got SMS congratulating me that I have done 1st Trasaction on the card !!!

What an state of affairs ! SBI has cheated me in earlier instances, but this time, I have fallen for the lie that this is IRCTC card.

How can I trasact without even receiving the Card ? Is there anyone who can stop this cheater on spree !! Or we have to only wait for GOD to do justice ??

SBI Credit Card — Cheating Spree

In the last week of November I received a call from SBI Card customer care cell enquiring about my card details and my identification and then they offered me this welcome package. I agree I have talked to the caller and after discussion on the scheme they asked if I wanted to book this package. To which I have agreed on the terms that cancellation of the package is possible with a charge of Rs. 350 or so, if I did not like the package.

Two days back I have received the package and I did not like the travel options and other specified dates which also have a mismatch with what was earlier communicated to me over the telephonic discussion. So, I called on [protected] to inform my decision about the same. However to my surprise the customer care executive was not only very rude and not ready to help but also narrated several stories and referred to various new clauses to inform me that I cannot cancel the package and must accept it.


The amount is Rs. 7000 plus if I accept this offer against the cancellation offered to me then which was mere Rs. 350. Didnt accept this from so called reputed National Bank!!

All out there be ware and let me know if anyone else have faced this problem.

My self Pintu Kumar Pandey I have Resisterd my self for 30.11.2020 IRCTC shubhyatra Card during this resistation period i have paid membership charge Rs 562 one time but this charge has been deducted two times from my
PNB a/c [protected].
So it is my humble request to you please refund my amount(562) in my PNB a/c [protected].

Very good Card for Frequent traveller who travels in 2nd AC and above class.
Personally I got so much benefits in terms of railway points.
Personaaly advice to take this card but read all the T&C.
Have got a call as well and this information on this forum helped me deny the IRCTC platinum card without any hesitation. They are in such a hurry to collect the PAN, and other personal information but are least bothered to give the card benefits or where it can not be used.
