[Resolved]  State Cargo Packers And Movers — DAMAGE TO TRANSIT GOODS

Sir, I am an Army Officer posted at Devlali (Nasik). My son had approached a Jitesh Sharma of the above cargo movers (a company which claims to have received an ISO[protected] certification for prompt quality and efficient service as mentioned on their home page) for transportation of his motor cycle Bajaj Pulsar 220 cc Regd No HR-01Z-4158. The bike was handed over to them on the 18th of May and has been physically delivered on 31st May (a period of 14 days) as against the claim of delivery within 5 days. On inquiry from the driver he has confirmed that the bike was handed over to him only on the 28th and delivery was on the 31st. Jitesh Sharma of State Cargo Packers & Movers located at 483/49-A, Meena Bazar, Old Seema Puri, Delhi when asked informed that the bike was dispatched on the 19th which again is an incorrect statement . The motorcycle was received in a damaged condition and when asked him about the repairs to damage, he was very arrogant an extremely rude in his reply and that he was not responsible in any way and that the amount should be realized from the driver and if required I was at liberty to "shoot the driver". This from a petty employee leaves much to be desired. He also told me not to call him up for anything in future. Their web site http://www.statecargopackers.com/about-us.asp. which makes such grand claims certainly does not justify the attitude and arrogance of their staff. I have already got the damage assessed from the Bajaj Dealer at Nasik and they have assessed the damage to be Rs 2000/- approximately. A helmet sent along with the bike has been stolen at Delhi itself and has not been received. The amount may not amount to be much but the attitude and accountability does not justify their web site. I have taken a certificate from the driver of the vehicle to this effect.
