[Resolved] Sun Direct DTH HD — Messy Installation and StartUp | |||
I have bought a Sun Direct DTH HD connection on Monday - 17 Jan 2011 and they promised to start the service for me within 24 hours. There installation guy came on Tuesday 17 Jan 2011 - 3 PM and worked until 5 PM to install the Dish on terrace. He was not carrying enough equipment and required my help with the same. He did not have enough extension wire for his drill machine. He was rash, smelly and unhygienic. After taking up 2 hours when he started the set top box, it didn't boot. After trying for another half an hour he took away the box saying that he needed to replace/update it. I asked him to reinstall my previous working Tata Sky DTH which he removed, he refused and simply went away. Now today, Wednesday - 19 Jan 2011, the same guy came in at 2:45 and installed the box. The box started up now but now they say that they cannot activate the box. There is some fault in the connectivity/server at Sun Direct HD. Its been almost 48 hours since I purchased the connection and my Cable is still scrambled. The guy didn't even restart the Tata Sky Cable. I asked the vendor Veedoms to return my money but now I am receiving calls from Sun people asking the problem and reiterating to me that they are uncertain when the service can actually be started. Indian consumer is most abused person on this earth thanks to third grade vendors of service in India. I did not face amy trouble with my Tata Sky connection ever.
