[Resolved]  Tata Docomo — 100 SMS charged for my mobile no. [protected] even after TRAI increased the limit to 200 SMS /day

Hello Sir / Madam,
I am Sandeep Kumar, Bangalore. I am TATA DOCOMO prepaid Customer with mobile number [protected]. I was enjoying free 500 sms /day from past 9-10 months. But suddenly from[protected], my free sms was reduced to 100 sms/day. I was said that it was due to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) Rules.

But thankfully the limit was increased to 200 sms/day per sim from[protected] as imposed by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai). Now I am able to send only 100 free sms/day. The next 100 sms/day are getting charged at Rs. 0.60/sms which is not fair. When contacted TATA DOCOMO customer care, the executive told it was due to TRAI regulations.

I would like to bring the below press release by TRAI (http://www.trai.gov.in/WriteReadData/trai/upload/PressReleases/843/press_releas... )

“ The Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations provide a restriction that no Access Provider shall permit sending of more than one hundred SMS per day per SIM except telemarketer or transactional message sending entity. The Authority has received representations from some of the service providers and consumers to increase the limit of 100 SMS per day per SIM. The Authority has considered these representations and decided to increase the limit of one hundred SMS per day per SIM to two hundred SMS per day per SIM.”

It clearly states that it has increased the limit to 200 SMS per day per SIM. So It has never told that only 100 SMS/day are free are the rest 100 SMS/day to be charged. According to TRAI, my free sms per day has to be increased to 200 sms/day and I am eligible for that. Then why am I been charged for the 100 sms?

Hence I kindly request the concerned persons that my free sms per day to be increased to 200 free sms/day instead of 100 sms/day

Tata Docomo — 100 Adv SMS everyday

Hi,
I have been the customer of docomo from last 6 months
they have such a poor quality service even i can not imagine, I called them more then 50 time to stop seding me unwanted adv SMS and calls from different vendor till the today its not stopped. When ever i call they take service request thats all no action taken on that i fed up with you guys.
Actully u guys need to be punished then u will understand, but when u r owner him self in the 2G scam what more u guys can do

on[protected], TATA DOCOMO Customer Care executive and asked me to contact the retailer for details about SMS pack of 200 sms/day..

Customer Care Executive also informed that as per the process for the SMS packs the first 2 SMS alone will be charged. He also informed that as per latest directive from TRAI (government), prepaid customers will be allowed to send a max of 200 SMS in a day instead of 100 sms earlier. Customer who sends greater than 200 SMS in a day, will be barred from sending any more sms for the day. He will be automatically unbarred at 12 midnight on the day of barring.

But this is not the solution to the issue I have addressed above.

I am asking, why should i pay for the first 2 sms per day?

I was having 500 sms per day for free even without any charges for any of the SMS everyday.
Then TRAI restricted the SMS to 100 sms / day. Fine, i agree with that. But when TRAI has extended the limit to 200 sms / day, even my free sms has to be increased to 200 free sms / day. Instead of that, TATA DOCOMO is asking me to pay for the first two sms/ day or to pay Rs. 0.60/sms after finishing 100 sms/day. It is not fair from TATA DOCOMO side. This is nothing but TATA DOCOMO is misusing the TRAI rules.

Hence I kindly request you to give back my SMS offer at 200 sms/day without any charges for any of the SMS upto 200 msgs per day as it was before.

As per the process you will be charged Rs.0.60 per SMS after completion of 100 SMS per day.

now a days why tata docomo has only 100 sms per day. this month before i send unlimited sms per day. its very uncomfortable. please increase it by 200 sms per day
tatadocomo service .. the people who work at docomo customer care .Does not delivery proper information.. And over this if we call 2 nd time to customer care.. it says ... OUR CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE IS BUSY WITH ASSISTING OTHER CUSTOMER PLZ TRY LATER.. kya hum pagal chutiya dikhre ..pura kaama chodkey call karna... last may other queries kay liye ... mail bejana ... kon BC kay idea ye mail karna [protected]@tatadocomo.com .. SUNO LOGON porting kardo sab log bulley kay TRAI rules..
