Subject: Customer complaint regarding poor servicing.
Ref: Tata Indica DLS MH 12 DM 3853, Chassis No600149HTZpc728

Dear Sir,

I have purchased the car in August 2006 and got the services done through Pandit Auto Pune/Bhosari. The history of services is available with them.

Recently I got it serviced on 28/03/2009 from Pandit Auto Bhosari and also communicated to the follow up calls made to me that I am not satisfied with the workmanship of services as the car stops after 20 – 25 km running, may be due to excessive heat. This shows that no proper quality checks have been performed while servicing the car.

On 26/04/2009 I was survived from a fetal mishap while I was driving the car as it suddenly stopped amidst the traffic, and when we opened the bonnet, the lot of smoke and burnt smell was there and it also has caught the fire resulting the damage to the entire electric wiring.

Subsequently it was observed that the starter has been damaged. So I got the same repaired thru TVS at my own cost and now the car is given at Pandit Auto Pune. Now I was told that the entire wiring is to be replaced and also ECU needs to be fitted new and the cost will be approx Rs. 20000/- Today I cannot afford these expenses. Under the circumstances I have been put to lot of inconvenience as I am not mobile and spending Rs. 300/- daily for commuting to my office.

It was least expected that the entire wiring would get damaged after only 25 km travel and after due services. Pl look into the matter and let me know how you will help me. In today’s situation the other manufacturers are offering 3 years warrantee and free services up to 100000 km, I feel, I am duped by owning TATA vehicle particularly when my car is two and half year old and only about 38000 km running is done. Please help me.

In view of above I would expect that free services must be provided by Pandit Auto without asking me to pay anything so that I would be partially compensated for my mental stress and financial crisis. Even if I am required to pay the amount and get back my vehicle, such costs should be reimbursed to me.

As a matter of fact I have registered a complaint online on The Consumer Complaint Site on 09/05/2009 and my Complaint No. is 12899MW223921. To my surprise, no one has contacted me till today even after providing my complete postal address, my cell number as well as my email ID also. When I wanted to track the progress of my complaint on line, the site is not being opened and I feel I am helpless.

You are requested to look into the matter seriously and initiate the appropriate action suitably so as to resolve my genuine complaint.

Thanking you and awaiting your positive response at an early date.

Yours truly (Unsatisfied Customer)
