TATA Indicom Photon+ — TATA INDICOM BILLING DISPUTE

This is Rajesh Boddapati mailing from hyderabad.Its regarding billing dispute with TATA INDICOM .
I have taken tata indicom photon+, walky and a mobile connection for my training institute.After using it for some days, suddenly one day suddenly all the above 3 services were disconnected and later got a call from their customer care saying that my photon+ usage charges are Rs8000 and hence as it is exceeding my credit limit i am asked to pay the amt so that services can be activated again.

So, i went to TATA Teleservices, AP circle office at Khan Lathif Khan estate in Hyderabad.To surprise i was told that my bill amy due was Rs25000.Then i immediately contacted the nodal desk office Mr.Dheeraj Sharma & praveen krishna from legal deartment asking them for billing details and alerted them that i should be getting a credit limit call after it crosses Rs8000.
As the business hrs were closed for that day, i went to the same office the very next day.They then say that my due amt to payed is around Rs37000.
i was very much upset with their customer approach, beacuse they blocked my other services like walky and mobile.Becasue of this i am loosing my business to my competitors.Also tata officials are still showing some connections (one mobile+ DSL)which were already sent for cancellations from my side.there was no feasibility for DSL in my building, but still DSL account is acivated in my firm's name.(This is being reflecting in my over all credit limit ).they say credit limit for each connection is Rs7000 and as 5 services were activated in my office's name my credit limit has gone to Rs35000.But strictly i was using only servies which i mentioned first which could take my credit limit to Rs21000.
I am ready to settle my bill with them saying that i was using only 3 services and hence i should havegot a credit limit crossing call after my bill touches Rs21000 and hence i will be paying accordingly.also i am requesting them for bills which they are not ready to give immediately.

TATA INDICOM PHOTON+ — Billing Disputes

I have purchased Tata Indicom Photon+ on 22-May-09 from Srinagar Circle for working in the J&K Civil Secretariat. I subscribed to the monthly charges of Rs 1100 scheme which includes free 10GB data download.

After using the services till 7-Jun-09, mainly for official emails and normal internet browsing for official work, the services got disconnected. I received an SMS on 8-May-09 morning mentioning "Your Photon+ internet usage has crossed 75% of your bundled usage limit as on 08.06/2009. Usage beyond the limit will be charged at Rs 2/MB or Rs 1/min." I called customer care and requested the reason why my services are barred. I got a response that my limit has already crossed of Rs 1500 because of which the Internet service has been barred. I told the person that I received an SMS saying its only 75% of my usage limit in response to which I was told that as per record it's crossed the limit and if I need to access internet I need to pay at least Rs. 1165. I requested for the details of my usage and I was told that the details are not available and the details would be available only when the bill is generated. I called the Srinagar Tata Indicom office from where the connection was taken, no help was available. I called Mr. Neeraj Fotedar, J&K nodal officer. The call was received by some other person who said would get back to me. After waiting, I tried calling the same number 4 times but my call was not answered.

I paid online Rs. 1200/- as I was in urgent need of Internet access and my Internet Service was resumed on 12-Jun-09. Again on 16-Jun-09 my internet service was disconnected. After repeated complaint the service was resumed on 20-Jun-09. On 23-Jun-09 again my services was disconnected for crossing the credit limit of Rs. 1500.

In the mean time I received the bill online which has usage charges (between 22-May-09 to 12-Jun-09) of Rs. 18, 168/-. After giving the discounts my charges to be paid has come out to be Rs. 4, 414.46. I complaint about it in the customer care (No.[protected]. The response was that whatever come in the bill is correct and I need to pay the amount. I requested for the details of my usage, the person behaved very rudely and told me that the detail of internet usage would not be available.

Looking at no other option, I visiting the Tata Indicom office of Lal Chawk, Srinagar personally and explained the situation. The person (Name: Mobashir) took down my email id and promised to send me the itemized billing details by next day. For a change, as per promise, I received an xl sheet giving the details of my usage for the billing period.

I checked the xl sheet in detail and found that there are lot of entry which are wrong. For example, on 8th June the internet service to my Photon+ was not available, but I see the entry o[censored]sage on 8th June. Similarly, for a specific day in the same time there are multiple entry o[censored]sage. For example, on 5/23/2009, 6:04:52 PM there are 3 entries o[censored]sage.

I have written about it by email and no response and till date my internet service remains cut. I believed in the Tata name and if this is the kind of services and harassment received from a prestigious organization like Tata Tele, I am sure a customer like me will soon loose all the hope from the brand name of "TATA".
The same thing happend to me also...I dont know how to overcome this issue. I got a bill Rs 15000, with 10 days of internet usage, Please anyone let me know where to complaint about this.

File a complaint in consumer court with all the evidence that you have like bills or payment receipts.

There is no other option available...
