TATA Indicom Photon + — Pathetic Customer service and false commitment

Tata indicom is really creating the bad name for Tata group. It does not provide any good customer service. Customer care people are not trained properly. Moreover, latest launch of photon + is not operating as committed speed of 1 MB or upto 3.1 MB.

I am in bangalore and purchased this product, however it gives me hardly 200 to 300kbps. If i raise a complaint, they will give different no. to contact. Customer care toll free no. is not at all userfriendly.
Tatagroup is a ethical company but their teleservice division is just pathetic.

My advise is, before going to tataindicom service or product, think twice as you will undergo lot of pain thorugh bad service.

TATA Indicom Photon + — Pathetic Service

I had mailed this whole content to TATA legal team, for which till now I haven't received any kind of response. If you go for a photon plus please think twice.

I had raised a complaint with respect to photon plus which was linked to my account on 2nd of may 09 there was no proper response and I couldn’t use my photon connection for 2 days which is highly critical for my kind of work where I need to access my mails & do my work, so I had an severe mental torture as my whole lot of office work everything went for toss.

Then for the second time that I raised a complaint for the non connectivity of photon plus on 12th of May 09 and there was worst service I could ever experience in my life time, there was not a single support on resolving my concern when ever I had called up the customer care 121 and this again lead to loss of my office work & time and for this more over I went physically to the TATA main office located at Khan Lateef Khan estate near Lal bahadur stadium in Hyderabad, I wasted my whole of the day in chasing behind the technical support people for getting my photon plus activated whereas this was a clear responsibility of TATA Teleservices to provide online support or else to send across a technician to my location to get this done. So it resulted loss of time & the worst of worst service which was given.

Immediate after this incident I passed by I requested to split my account of photon plus. Getting this done from TATA Teleservices Ltd., I experienced one more pathetic service, when my bill got generated they have added what ever usage was made from photon plus was added to my old account instead of adding to the new account of photon plus, I wonder why this was done on what basis it was added to my photon plus usage to my old account.

After the bill generation I got to know my bill has come to Rs 7500 odd whereas I had made the payment of Rs 3668 for which I don’t see any details in it and later on I asked the customer care people to provide me the details of my usage there was no any response for my request made and they expected me to pay the bill, how this is possible I have a right to ask my bill details as per the section of the Right to information act, 2005 under TRAI guidelines.

And till now I have been calling on daily basis from past 8 days stating that I am not able to connect photon plus, one person from customer says me it’s a technical problem, another person says me it’s a backend server problem, I have been hearing 10 different things from the customer care, they themselves doesn't know what is the cause of the issue & they take the customer concerns in a very casual way and in a very negligent manner.

In the notice sent to me numbered with TTL/LEGAL/138/ dated 5th June 2009 they are stating that I have agreed to the terms & conditions of the Tata Teleservices Ltd while providing me the connection from them, if that is the case what about the terms & conditions which each service provider should follow while lending service to the customer which is invisible for me, what kind of service they agreed upon the TRAI before launching any kind of services have you they been following it ?

Is this a service or the rules that TATA Indicom people follow and imply on customers and TATA indicom people are least bothered to serve the customer with their concerns. I have been following up from the day one there is a zero response, no update. I just question their legitimacy of providing the service, hope if they were in my position they would have at least known the fact of providing the below the mark or worst service any one could experience from TATA Teleservices Ltd /TATA Indicom.

I have undergone very severe mental torture and ended up with lot of problems which has impacted my day to day life to an great extent from using the photon plus of TATA Teleservices Ltd.
They are basically deceiving the customer and his rights.

TATA Indicom Photon + — I want my refund of money paid...

I am sick of Tata Indicom too...I have BOUGHT PHOTON+...and it has not beein working from day 1...the sales person had given me a demo one for 2-3 days..that worked well...but as soon as I got a new piece it did not give me more that 200kpbs...3mbps is promised. I had paid the total amount for connection and hardware in cash about 4000+.

The connection does not work when u r travelling ...I went to Hyderabad for 10days..it didnt connect at all...when I complained thhe sales person said it is not working for me either and kept down the phone.

Now I am back at Banaglore...the sales guy from and Agency lead finally game me details of my connection and asked me to contact help desk. When I did they said as they had only promised upto 3 mbps...200kbps come within that. They also sent a couple of service guys who could nt figure out why the conncetion didnt work. Finaly one guy was able to resolve it..and the it was blocked for non-payment of bill as by then one month was over.

The bill was to have been sent to my gmail ...but they had the adress wrong in records..(data was captured incorrectly from application)

So now it stands that they willre-open the account and test again and then determine what has to be done...the account does not cancel even if we want it..within paying the monthly charge...

Unwittingly...I was caught in this racket...and have lost my money and have not working wireless...and everymonth...they would add the charges till cancellation. Nice money making racket. Can someone help?

Tata Indicom Wireless Broadband (Photon+) — Poor Service and False Commitments

Hi,

I'd like to address my concern of getting really poor service and false commitments from Tata Indicom on Photon+, a wirless broadband service.

After buying the connection I had problem regarding the connectivity from day 5(was promissed that i will get the download speed upto 3.1 Mbps, however it is not even around .5 Mbps) which I addressed it to the customer care department, then an engineer was sent to diagnose or solve the problem.
After engineer's visit I got to know that it is the network (HSIA, 3G) problem and the engineer gave me the assurance that it will be solved within a day as he is informing the Tata Network Team of the same.

After that I kept following up with customer services for seven days and every time they gave the same excuse that it will be taken care by June, 26, 09.
However on June 27, 09 I was forced to write a mail to NodalOfficer one of the Departments taking care of the broadband complaint. The situation is still the same, I bought it for 3500 and suppose to pay 1100 per month without getting the required services.

I'd request you if you could help me in this, your help would be highly appreciated...

Believe me... I can completely understand you as I am going through the same problem myself. The customer care doesnt have a clue on how much I have downloaded/ what are the extra charges if I go beyond my plan limit.. till the bill gets generated...its pathetic...

the customer care people do not seem to be really educated enuf...they talk all non-sense...start responding even before I complete my question...

I get a inflated bill..and when I enquire about it they keep shuttling the call from one department to another...no one has any clue on why the bill is inflated...

I ... And now I get a call from all centers...and they tell me my device is not working because I have not paid the bill...not mentioning the fact that it was not working from beginning.

Added they are not cancelling my account either which I have subscribed for the 10GB free...so I am stuck with the billing amount adding on every month...even if I am not using it.

They call at most odd times...when I have mentioned to them not to call between 4 pm to 12 am as I am at work...but no...thats the time all call..even today Mr. Das from Bombay called around 6:00pm...and guess what...he said...??...you are right...Madam...your bill is not paid...so your connection is not working"

And if I am in the middle og a conf call or a meeting... I tell them I am busy or on a call...I get this mail below:

I have also purchased the device for Photon plus and was assured for a connection within 24 hours.

I was waiting for the whole day and nobody turned up. When I contacted the person from whom I had purchased the device, he is giving only false assurance.

I am really surprised to find the customer service of a respectable company like TATA, so irresponsible in customer service.

photon+ wireless broadband service — photon+ not working

i have purchased a photon+ data card about 3months back,earlier it was working properly but from around last 2 weeks it is not working on my laptop.i am not able to use it as it is not connecting to internet.i m not able to get ur customer care number also,so dats y i m sending dis complaint online.


so kindly adress the issue.

I agree with the above complaint. After having paid for a broadband, the photon + connection does not even provide me with a dialup speed or 1/10th of the promised speed. We should take this up with the Department of Telecom. Tata Indicomm is misleading the customers.

Tata Broadband — False service assurances

I have purchased a 2MBPS plan from TATA.

I had raised a complaint on 5th Jan stating slow download speed issues. I got a feedback call on 24th Jan 2010 asking is the complaint is resolved. I specified 'NO'. I got another call from TATA Broadback on 26th Jan 2010 saying I have raised a complaint regarding slow download issues on 25th Jan 2010. These guys, instead of resolving the old complaint raised a new complaint simply to avoid SLA issues.

To follow up on the complaint which I had not raised on 25th Jan 2010, I called them on 11th Feb and they say that it will take 1month estimated time to resolve. I get another call from these guys saying I had raised a complaint on 12th Feb 2010 regarding slow browsing issues. They again closed the complaint they had raised on 25th Jan 2010 after taking a feedback from me that the complaint is not resolved.

Moreover, both the times, they sent me a mail that they tried to contact me on all my available phone numbers and I was not available but the fact is I got a call both the times where I mentioned that the complaint is not resolved.

Its been more than 40 days now that I've been spending my time and money to get this issue resolve and there is no action that I see from TATA.

I feel I'm being fooled and TATA Broadband is not providing the high speed internet services that it promises and markets.

Hope correct action is taken against these guys.

TATA Indicom Photon + — Tata Indicom Photon + is not working

Dear Sir/Madam,

I had taken a TATA Indicom Photon+ device for Rs 3400/- on December 10, 2009 expecting better speed than my WIMAX connection that I was using earlier from the same TATA Indicom services.

Actually the speed is not coming good. getting troubled for 4 consecutuve days, finally I renewed the WIMAX connection that I was using earlier from the same TATA Indicom services.

Based on my complaints one after the other, Tata Indicom Technicians visited my house at three different times and observed that it is NOT working even with the minimum desired speed.

I wrote several e-mails and called to customer care several times, however always I got a promise that it will be sorted out soon.

Nothing has happened so far, and finally today they told me that your money can not be refunded.

I would like to have justice to my money spent.

TATA BB Wimax keeps dropping so NEVER subscribe to it ...unless you want trouble and pay for that gleefully
