Tata Indicom - Postpaid — TROUBLESOME TOTS

With great remorse I reminisce the day I applied for a new TATA MOBILE CONNECTION from Delhi. Ever since I have had to endure sleepless nights not to overlook the numerous visits to their head office and talks with ignoramus souls who had zilch concern about my woes.
Now the concern: I had applied for Tata Post-paid Connection online on the 15th of February; a representative came to collect the documents the same day by evening. He informed me that if I pay cash of Rs. 1000 I will get the handset and the connection (with plan 0123) on the 17th. However, if I pay through cheque, I will get the handset and the connection activated on the 19th. A gentleman named Mr. Pradeep ([protected]) came from ITBL Telecom Pvt. Ltd., Harijase House,34/22, East Patel Nagar and I decided to pay him in cash and the documents which he asked me for(PAN Card & Address Proof-Original statement from HDFC Bank),as I wanted the connection as soon as possible. I was assured and re-assured that I will get the connection on the 19th. I got my handset with the SIM (inactivated) on the 21st February. Now I had to get the SIM Card activated and for the same I called up Mr Pradeep multiple times and he kept on disconnecting my calls. Then I was informed to call up the TATA Customer Service to get the SIM activated. On calling them up I was informed that my SIM will be activated once the address verification is complete. Today being the 3rd of March, I was astonished that the address verification is still not complete. I had also gone to the Tilak Nagar Head Office on the 24th of February with my Address proof once again so that the address verification gets completed. I was informed that within 72 hrs the address verification will be completed and the SIM will get activated. From 24th February till date there is no verification done and “there won’t be any further verification as well”. Today I went to the Tilak Nagar office again and I was informed that I will have to purchase a new connection because the executives from the verification department were not able to locate my house. I informed them that it is not possible as all my documents had my contact numbers on it, but they refused saying that I will have to purchase a new connection and there is nothing that can be done. I was informed that I will get the reimbursement of the sum which I had paid but there will be a deduction of Rs.100 as part of the policy. What is shocking to hear that the gentleman sitting in the Tilak Nagar Branch was not even interested to hear what I had to say and he said that “nothing can be done even if you approach the Consumer Court or the TRAI” and was very sarcastic in his tone.
It’s not about Rs. 100 which were deducted, it’s about the hard times and frustration that I had to go though and what’s outlandishly shocking is the kind of indifferent treatment meted to me by the TATA EMPLOYEES. Furthermore I vow never ever to recommend a TATA MOBILE to any of my acquaintances.
I wonder how many other customers would be getting tricked by these people, and losing their hard earned money due to NO FAULT OF THEIRS whatsoever. Taking that into consideration I thought it appropriate to HIGHLIGHT this matter on a larger scale in the interest of the MASSES.
Henceforth I would request you to please escalate this issue to the highest appropriate authority so that customers like me don’t suffer at the hands of big behemoths like these and it becomes befitting example for other companies to follow.

I want to buy two postpaid conection of tataindicom.

I had booked a new connection (Walky) on 24 March 2008. But I had not received any call till 1 April 08. After this I contact with customer care they provide me two no.64696469 & 65255400. 64696469 no is always busy and 65255400 just ringing and ringing and ringing.
Please tell me what can i do after this.

sir, I bought a postpaid connection of which number is [protected] purchase date of this cordless walky set is 21.06.07 & bill no. is DL 00402632.we are sufferring from the problem of its manufacturing deffect since it was purchased, we had already lodged complaints somany times but we dont get any proper response from them.still we are having our warranty period but then after that they are denying to repair it or they are demanding Rs. 1, 850-/ for it's repair. Earlier they told us their is a problem in its mother board & hardware it has to repair again, but when we are claiming our warranty period they are refusing to have the manu.. deffect & giving false statement of physical damages. pls. kindly concern on this matter as soon as it is possible.otherwise i would like to go to consumer court, i had already sent a legal notice to the Vendor & service centre.
The TATA INDICOM agent cheat us by providing wrong information. We opted a walky with a pantech mobilein Combo offer few months ago. The agent explained us, if you pay Rs. 75/- {package} then the out going calls for all tata landlines, mobiles are free throughout Andhra Pradesh. But we found few bills that most of the outgoing calls for tata landline, mobiles were billed. I visited your customer care centre in Dwarakanagara, Visakhapatnam, then I known about the agent. These people are cheating the customers. Then how could I solve my problem. Try to provide a solution to me. I was totally dissappointed with your services, and I request you to tell the agents don't cheat the customers. If they do like this no one want to use Tata services.In E.G.Dist I listened if we take Rs.75/- package all out going calls for Tata landlines and mobile calls are free. Then why this package is not working here. Please solve our problem. I heared so many people are facing this problem. So please solve our problem, otherwise we will other proceedings.

I was assured and re-assured that I will get the connection on the 19th. I got my SIM (inactivated) on the 23 July 2008. Now I had to get the SIM Card activated and for the same I called up Excutive multiple times and he kept on disconnecting my calls. Then I was informed to call up office of the TATA Customer Service he gave me No[protected] & [protected] ) Whose Name Mr Manish said to my SIM Will activated on evening but sim is not activated on 23 july 2008 second time ph no no responese

i received a call of lady and she said that i am acalling from tata indicom on 23rd of July 2008 and she says that i have a plan ofRs.150(honest plan) and she told me about the scheme related to this plan. then i agreed to buy this plan then she said that tommorow(24th july) our representative collect all the documents and on 24th july a representative came to collect the documents .I pay cash of Rs. 1000 and he gave me the two SIM and pay slip. A gentleman whose name is Mr.Anil and his no.is([protected], [protected], ) came from tilak nagar tata indicom outlet([protected], [protected]). and I decided to pay him in cash and the documents which he asked me for(electricity bill)as I wanted the connection as soon as possible. I was assured and re-assured that I will get the connection with in 24 hrs. I got my SIM (inactivated) on the 23 July 2008. Now I had to get the SIM Card activated and for the same I called up Excutive multiple times and his no. is came switched off again and again.Then I was informed to call up office of the TATA Customer Service then they said that u contact to a person throughwhich you bought the sim card.
so you tell me what would i do...if his phones come to switch off...you tell me how i contact him...??????

my tata indicom no. [protected] is not having outgoing facility upto 3 days..many times i complaints in customer care...so plz do somthing to tacke this problem...!!!

my father is a user of a tata's postpaid connection.from the last 3-4months a person is taking out r call details n is creating problems for us.he was the exec.of TVS(tata value shop) in East delhi.I want u 2 pls look after the matter.

Same problem faced by me year ago. Its not worth company to depend on . They just take away your money & service word is not in their dictionary.
When recovering thier bills for deficient services they send you court notices & harassing phone calls.
This company will go to dogs. Try conacting their highest officer the attitude is same.
