[Resolved]  Tata Motors — Product default

Dear Sir,


I want to bring your kind attention towards a big product default in Tata Indico car manufactured by your company. any car met with an accident like this is a big product failure and when you are going to make a history by launching many new projects I just want to bring your attention towards this so that you can rectify this error.


TATA indigo LX purchased in 2005 caught fire while coming back from a small drive. Me and my wife , my little daughter and my brother were returning from a very small drive on August 15th,2009. we have a TATA Indigo purchased in 2005 from Ratlam MP. Now we are in mumbai. The first one year was fine but after that we are spending some 25-30 k every year to maintain the car at its best. On august 15 th when we were returning from drive and paring our car in our appartments parking lot we saw that smoke started coming out from the leftside of the bonnet. I was unable to open the bonne tand I could see that fire is coming out. I asked my watchmen to put water on bonnet but that was failed.fire was not in our control. then we have used three fire extinguisher but that are also failed then we have to called up fire brigade to control this fire. By the great help of people around we have controlled the fire but the scene was heartbreking, my cars was literally under the fire.


We have called up the fire brigaede as so many other cars were also in parking lot, we know that our car has gone but we just want to avoid major accident as if this car will burst all other car will also affect and this can become a major accident

But it was too late. All the parts under bonnet burned out, including Pump, engine etc..! Finally after the huge rescue efforts we could control the fire without spreading to cabin or to diesel tank. Later I called up the service center guys and they came down to the spot with a recovery van and took the vehicle back to the workshop. Now they have estimated a sum of 6 lacs to rebuild it!!

The reason for the fire break out is still a mystery. Even the workshop guys are not able to find. They are telling it could be short ciruit.

Can anyone tell me that wahat was that....my whole family was on risk.....If this could be on the way...then what happened all battery operated things will stopped and we would not be able to come out.....I have my whole family with me...I dnt think then i will be able to drive that car again...i am scared....How i will believe on your manufactured products...

Car will be fine afterhuge expense but tell me who will expand 6 lacs on 6 lacs car....and can anyone pay the trauma we have faced....

Very true...I want to run a capaign against tata motors and begging to everyone dnt buy tata products
Dear Sir / Madam,

This is to bring to your notice that I have purchased a new indigo CS LS Dicor (Scarlet Red) model car number MH 04 ED 4383 in the month of November 2009. I took the Delivery on 9th November 2009 form Fortune Motors Thane.

During the delivery itself I got the car with lots of problem in it.

1. Dickey Noise
2. Bonnet lock not working
3. Left front tire had a puncture where the Air in the tyre was getting less now & again
4. Noise coming from the engine.
5. Back side right door behind the driver had a problem used to not get closed fully.
6. Received on 1 Key instead of 3 keys.
7. Diesel Lid Button black cover near the driver seat was missing


However immediately the next day I informed fortune motors thane, they told me to take the car to Fortune Powai where in they will take care of this problem.

I took my car at 1pm sharp where in 45 min no one was ready to even assist me, then I had to call Fortune Thane sales person name (Jackson) to please inform someone which he did later.
They told me to come in the evening to take the car.
When I went in the evening to take my car, firstly I was made to sit for 1.5 hrs in the customer lounge. After that I come to know that no one has even started to work on my car, I was annoyed & asked for the service manager, who was not ready to even come out & speak.
I got very irate & created a scene there after the service manager came & attended my problem.
They rectified the Bonnet lock problem & the dickey noise.
About the engine noise it was told to me that this will get lower once the engine gets free.
But my 3rd, 5th, 6th & 7th point number problem was not at all rectified.

Secondly yesterday I had visited Fortune Thane for my 1st service; I entered fortune at 11.45am.
Till 3.30pm no one had even started to work on my car. When I came down from the customer lounge to check & informed the Service person Anoop, then the work started.
Moreover in the morning itself I informed them about the problems in my car

Dickey Noise
Back side right door behind the driver had a problem used to not get closed fully
Received on 1 Key instead of 3 keys
Diesel Lid Button black cover near the driver seat was missing
Front right tyre within 1.5 weeks time got busted.
Wheel alignment, since the car used to move on the right side while driving

Anoop rectified Dickey noise, door problem, wheel alignment & other standard checks.
Jackson gave me the other 2 key which he had sent to make it at Thane station.

At 6.30pm anoop comes to me & tells me that Sir today our water is over & we cannot service your car, what a pathetic service given by fortune & Tata motors. But anoop had the audacity to give me a bill of Rs 260 the overall service done, but at the end the service was never done. However I have slapped the money of Rs 260 on the cashiers face for not doing the complete job

This is the second time where in Tat Motors has given me pathetic service + has broken my heart to even tell good about the company. Earlier also I had purchased an Indica Xeta from Wasan Motors in 2007. Even at that point of time I had received a damaged car, the suspension was totally damaged.

TATA MOTORS BEING A REPUTED COMPANY IN INDIA AS YOU SAY, HAS GIVEN ME A DAMAGED CAR + PATHETIC SERVICE AFTER SALES FROM THEIR DEALERS.

Dealers are presents of Tata Motors & if this the service which we get from Tata Motors then I would not like to buy any more cars from Tata + I would like an replacement of my car & compensate for my valuable time + value for money.

I am also going to publish the same in the news papers + inform the news channels that how tata motors is been ill treating customers after sales, but before sales you people show a different picture.
