Personal — email scam
Somene hacked into my account and sent out emails to every address in my address book stating that he (me) had been robbed while in UK and being left without any money. He asked all my contacts to send him US$ 2,500.00.I have been getting mails from a whole lot of people, my contacts regarding this mail they have recieved.
The mail was discovered as a hoax by Yahoo who locked my account for security reasons stating that the account would be unlocked in 24 hours. It is now nearly 24 hours and my account has still not been unlocked. WHY?
My biggest problem is that I cannot access my address book without which I cannot function. In addition all my folders containg information I need is also not accessable. I therefore request that my account be unlocked. I will retrieve the addressbook and the my folders and then change my password. If for any reason u cannot unlock my account then you please retrieve my address book and folders and send them to me and I will create a fresh Yahoo account.
I feel the simplest would be to unlock my account and I will change my password.
PLEASE RESPOND URGENTLY AS I NEED TO GET ON WITH MYWORK.
