We wanted to have EB connection for our house. Recently we approached EB office takkolam 631151. After number of attempts they ask us to fill the application form and submit it. Then they send their employee to inspect the house wiring. He verified that everything is good. Then he collected deposit money RS.2000 from us. So far he did not deposit in office account. No one turned back so we went to office to esquire about the connection. They said that the person who receive money from you did not deposit it here simply he went for vacation.

This absolutely ridiculous and this person should be sacked immediately.
No current For past 2days in pullalur village...without current peoples suffer alot...

    I am working a private company in ashok nagar this is a Service work. For that I travel lot
    Due to this my current reading is minimum charge only (10 unit) in 4 time this is repeated,
    Reading engg. Ask me to contact A.E, I met him and to be joined with some super visor
    They put my reading is 230 (approximate) my normal usage 2 tubelight, 1 fan, fm radio, mobile charger, 1 night lamp, induction stow (using from 3rd June ‘11)
    It will not consumption this much high units, please suggest me for further move

      Iam from CHENNAI Annangar east. My house address.
      new26 old28/1 palli arasu street annanagar east Chennai-600102.
      I have a problem in my house supply current. For the past 3weeks at night time power fluctuation happens frequently. At Morning time power fluctuations not coming.
      only this power fluctuations starts at evening 6.00pm to 3.00am morning.
      Due to this problem our AC & Fridges , fans are in problem.
      We REGISTRED OUR COMPLAINT IN 155333. But they did not give proper response at all.
      they told us to contact our area AD.(I dont know why they are telling like this).
      We need immediate solution for this.

      We are facing voltage fluctation in Somanathapuram of Kolathur area, when we enquired to local office they stating that the issue with cable wire and they waiting from Head office for approval. We have being facing this issue every summer. Could you please take some immediate action to rectify this please.

        We are the residents of Ranganathan Nagar, I Cross Street, Selaiyur, Chennai – 600073, here we are facing low voltage and frequent fluctuation in current for many many months. In spite of giving repeated complaints to the Electricity Board this problem is not rectified. Even the most commonly used electric equipments which are mandatory are not functional, we are running without water for days together as the motor pump is not working due to low voltage. We were earlier informed that the problem is due to our house being towards the end of distribution of power from the transformer which is quite a distance from our area, we were also informed that two new transformers have been allotted for our area whereas now after 5-6 months have passed but no sign of any improvement in fact the situation has worsened. Because of this issue, we do not even get the benefits of electrical equipments such as AC/Fridge/Washing machine on time, especially during these peak summer months. Families with infants and elders who are bed ridden are the most affected. It is our request that this matter be given some importance and looked into.

        we are living in ganesh nagar selaiyur 600073 of madambakkam feeder. we experience low voltage and frquent voltage flutuation. AC works in the night from 2 am. EVEN working with computer in the evening from 3 pm voltage flutuation. WHEN REPORTED FOR LOW VOLTAGE THE REPLY IS WE CANOT DO ANYTHING. complain to higher official/minister/chiefminister. Thi was the reply given by the man incharge attending phone yesterday 10 pm (14/07/2011) Whom should complain?
        This is with reference to my complaint with TNEB continuously on 24th & 25th Nov.2011 to rectify the low voltage and fluctuation in electricity supply to my flat No.4, Happy Apartments, Door No.6, Vivekanandapuram Ist Street, West Mamblam, Chennai-33. The receiver in the EB office noted down my address whenever I called ie.15 times. Nobody responded till now (4.40pm) on 25th Nov.2011. This complaint can be treated as most urgent. S.Guruprasad.

          Hi,

          I am staying nearby rippon building. We are facing longer hours powercuts daily. Even if we make a complaint to EB office, they are giving us really irresponsible answers and asking us to sleep in terrace. Very poor customer service... They are not mainting proper cables....

          I request you to provide the proper power supply to our area. V.V.Koil 1st lane.

          I came to know from my house owner that its all because of the lodge 'Golden cafe' nearby rippon building. As they use huge amount of power, the power shortage is happening.

          This issue can be resolved by setting up a seperate transformer to our street.

          In this hot summer its really hell to live in this area.

          Please take some necessary actions to resolve this issue.

            this is with reference to the my online complaint at TNEBNET.ORG/CCMS, there has been constant low volateg of 140 V all through the day and night, the neutral line is out, so we had no option but to connect it to the earth line which is highly dangeraous to life and liberty of the residents(neutral line of all the house connected to the pole are out, so the problem lies with pole neutral and not with the connecting wires),

            Even i know this that it is useless to write but, am in hope of some true indian officer might see this and may take some needful action..

            Becasue of some are more of corrupt people our india is developing and will remain one for ever

              we are living in agan nagar(back side) and we are getting very low voltage 133V instead of 230 V though we have 1 phase meter in place.

                The Power Supply in Kailasapuram, B.H.E.L. Township, Tiruchirappally TN Area is frequently fluctuating and Scared to use Electronic Gadgets. It must be rectified and We Expect GOOD Quality of Electricity Supply From TNEB to Our Homes.

                  There is a heavy voltage drop continuously in this area.. Im residing in Tellus Avenue Phase II, where the power problems exists for more than 2 months.. No proper care is taken.. The transformers arent there to boost up the supply or step up.. All the people are suffering in this area.. Please do the needful ASAP.. or let me know the situation prevailing in this area and what are the actions taht are going to be carried on..

                    Sub: Very bad voltage fluctuations in the area Panayur, chennai 119.

                    I dont understand why the EB is not fixing additional transformer or increasing the capacity of transformer in this area. More houses, hence air conditioners and hence lot of power consumption. The house at the last of the line suffers very badly.

                    All that the EB officials say - there is this problem through out TN.

                    Who is answerable - the EB department or the government?

                    Well, I dont want reasons. All that I want is solutions. Is there any solution to this issue or every body interested to pass the ball in others court?

                    NET RESULT: I (ALL PEOPLE) SUFFER.
                    Is there not anyone who is concerned about this condition in this state? Everybody speaks who is going to act on this?

                        We live in Gowriwakkam Area and for the past one month, the voltage has been very low and we were never able to switch on Air conditioner. The heat has been so intense and most of the nights we are not able to sleep, I asked the EB people and they say, they cannot help as the incomin voltage itself is low. I do not to whom should we go ask for.

                        We people who are living in New Vinayagar street, AGS Colony, Nanganallur are extremely fed up with the very low voltage power supply in our area. We have complained several times even directly to the A.E, but there is no response. Actually it has been told that the problem has been rectified 2 months back, but this summer we are seeing this problem as worsened.Kindly take necessary step to do the needful.
                        There is a frequent power cut and Low voltage puzuthivakkam ( Hindu colony tail end Pallavan street ) especially at nights. there is no Fan and A/C running. we are working hard at day times and going to home at night there is no proper sleep because of Low voltage. Please ask the concerned authorities to look into this ASAP.
                        I have been residing in Kalatumettu Street, Kotivakkam (ECR), Chennai - 41 for the past 1.5 years. We have a continuous voltage fluctuation in this street. For the last one and half months it is going too worst. In the nearby and sorrounding areas there is no problem, when we don't have electricity power in our area, the nearby streets are having. Already in my computer RAM, SMPS I had to change because of low voltage.

                        Please help us in resolving this problem.

                        Sir,
                        This is to bring to your kind notice that the place that i am residing in Chennai, Nanganallur, receives only 120 volts electricity from 9 pm till 04:30 am. As this is peak summer our kids are strugling hard to sleep with fan running 1/2 speed and a/c not working. In spite of numerous complaines launched with AE aand other staff they all ignore and fail to attend the same for the last one month. The AE said that the summer will be over in 2 months and be patient till then so that we can sleep peacefully. This is an irresponsible answer. When the whole of Nanganallur recieving good voltage only our street receiving 120 volts which is due to negligence to attend the fault in nearby transformer.
                        I kindly request the concerned to take this to authorities to take immediate action on such staff and try to restore normal voltage of electricity as soon as possible.

                        We the residents of Subramania street, West mambalam, Chennai ( AE /ASKN /EAST ) are facing low voltage problem in the evenings regularly. Tubelights keep flickering and our ACs too don't function properly.
                        The EB authorities had erected two poles for fixing up an additional transformer few months back but nothing has happened after that.
                        We expect our problem to be solved at least for the next summer if not earlier.
                        I request the concerned authorities to do the needful.

                        Pass two monyhs we are facing the problem. Paast two days worst, we are anable to go for work in the morning. From yesterday Evening i would have called nearly 40 time to your office (155333). Still now l could't get any rectification. Pay the bill for this month nearly no meaning.                         We are residing in West Tambaram, North Sriram Nagar, Chennai 600045. In this area transformer is very old it is not having capacity of catering the area requirement. Due to this heavy low voltage in night time we are facing. Even the fans are not funning. We have made complaint Tambaram south EB station, the foreman coming and checking and telling like that only it will be and the transformer needs to be changed. We are paying money but not even getting a good sleep.

Our street and 8th street public people and very dissatisfied with the your staff and the goverment. because of daily power cuts in the two streets. yesterday our area people are out of the house at the midnight from 12.30am to 7.00 am we don't sleep. we called the EB office the line are continuesly enchaged and i had directly visit the EB office i stunt because they locked inside will all lights off and they are sleeping inside. but we are killing with the misqutios. There is a continuous power cuts in the two streets frequently. we had already complined to AE more than ten times but its useless. Yours staff treated us like a cows in a clay. we are now living like adam and eve in the ancient times. we are not in the positions to complain because we don't know an proper way to complain. please try to help as to solve this problem and rectify the power cut in the 7th street.

                        We are the residents of 80th street, Dr Natesan Salai, Ashok Nagar, Chennai, here we are facing low voltage and frequent fluctuation in current for many many months. In spite of giving repeated complaints to the Electricity Board this problem is not rectified. Even the most commonly used electric equipments which are mandatory are not functional, we are running without water for days together as the motor pump is not working due to low voltage. We were earlier informed that the problem is due to our house being towards the end of distribution of power from the transformer which is quite a distance from our area, we were also informed that two new transformers have been allotted for our area whereas now after 5-6 months have passed but no sign of any improvement in fact the situation has worsened. Because of this issue, we do not even get the benefits of electrical equipments such as AC/Fridge/Washing machine on time, especially during these peak summer months. Families with infants and elders who are bed ridden are the most affected. It is our request that this matter be given some importance and looked into.

                          Massive powercuts since 48 hours in MGR NAGAR VELACHERY

                          about 2000 to 580 Resisdence with close to 4000 people, who are paying their bills in time are facing huge challenge to live here in M.G.R NAGAR, 14th Street, Velachery, Chennai 42 as Power cuts is a frequent breath taker. Most of the time power shuts down in the late/mid night. And when we call to ask the status to valechery electric office they keeps the phone purposely busy so that they dont get disturbed, As I write this compalint, already 5 hours had passed by with out power and now it is 9.30 PM. No one attents the call or the complaint line would be kepy purposely busy. When poeple of this localty together tried to meet AE of this area, his reply was - JUST LIKE A GOVT OFFICIAL Reply. Were are we heading towards, i really suspect. The problem is every week 3 days for sure people had to suffer a power shut down for atleast 6 hours and all this falls in the mid/late nights. We are fed up with the local EB guys. I think a serious thought process and strong step has to be taken either by consume forum or EB higher ups to change/remove/suspend few EB guys here in pammal along with the officers holding this office, so that people donot face this sort of issue anymore.

                          HAVE I WRITTEN AND PROJECTED OUR PROBLEM TO THE CORRECT CONCERN AUTHORITIES.
                          WOULD ANY ACTIONS WOULD BE TAKEN -

                            We have an electric pole within our school compound. This does not feed to us but feeding to nearby house. The electric wires are within reach of school children in the first floor. We have requested TNEB to shift the same for which we have paid the shifting charges. If the pole is shifted on the other side of the compound wall ( only 1 foot distance) this will help children. At the request of the TNEB, even we have gone to the extent of buying underground cables so that the same can be laid on the other side of the compound wall and feed to the other party's house.

                            Now TNEB authorities have started arguing that the other party is not agreeing to this arrangement.

                            Question is:

                            Do we have right to insist to shift the pole since it is not feeding us?

                            whether TNEB has right to fix the pole anywhere they want even if it is not feeding us?

                            Should we file the case against TNEB if we dont get justice?

                            I am staying in Mettukuppam, Thoraipakkam. We are facing a critical issue while paying electricity bill. Every time when I go to pay the bill, the computer or the link does not work. The time to pay the bill is also not sufficient. Its only 10 am to 12 noon. The person collecting the bill every time goes out of the office at 11:30am saying the computer is not working and also he answers "I HAVE SOME OTHER WORK' when asked the reason for leaving before time.                             They have again repeated above reading at 13980 (used units 560) on 03.09.12 and generated same amt of bill of Rs. 2185.00, due on 22.09.12. It clearly shows that without taking fresh reading, the old reading has been repeated and demand has been raised for Rs. 2185.00 on 03..9.12 wrongly. I had no option but to pay the above amount.

Every day 3-4 hours power is not available for these connections. Only after informing to the Wire man and A.E they will correct. The same situation currently to be continued.

                              Power cuts are happening regularly, bad power fluctuation too is observed in Chennai.
                              But in the streets of most of the areas of Nanganallur, street lights are not switched off till 0700Hrs even in summer (I believe this would be the scenario throughout Tamil Nadu)! It can be switched off at 0530 as the sun rises early. Power can be saved.
                              There are various streets where there are no street lights are observed (no tube lights, bare poles observed).
                              If these are properly managed, lot of power can be saved & unnecessary power cuts shall be avoided.

                                  Power cuts in our area is a big concern and it doesnt sound good, as the power generating stations are nearby. It is very difficult to survive without power and that too in this peak summer. Can somebody look into this power needs in tamilnadu? How long we need to suffer from power cuts?                                   I would like to inform that the TNEB in Karamadai, Marudur, Power House is going for power cut for more than 3.5 Hours a day. When ever we contact them they are telling that we got the order from thudiyalur like that. It is very very sad that in rural areas this type o[censored]nauthorised power cuts is not noticed by politicians and other officers. It is very very sad that no body care about rural human beings, is there any special sun rays is coming to rural areas other than urban areas. Is there any amendment in parliament that rural human beings are not coming under human right violation act. This is totally ridiculous and Atrocities shown by TNEB to rural areas.

                                  We are residents of Vandalur gate. For more than one month we are experiencing frequent erractic power cut irrespectice of fixed timings. Mostly the problem occcurs at night. We find it very diiificult for office goers, elderly people, school children and also people at home. We may mention that the timings given for power cut to the area is from 8.00 a.m to 10.00 a.m. But the power goes off from 2.00 to 4.00p.m., 6.30. to 7.30 and 9.00. to 10.00p.m., 11 to 12 at night and 4.00. to 4.30.a.m.and again at 7.00 to 7.30.a.m.

                                  We request that immediate action may be taken to redress our complaint . We would be thankful if the residents are relieved from this problem at the earliest possible.

                                  powercut on 17/04/2013 still 6.00pm 19/04/2013 we dont have power we residing at no 16,kalathippan street choolai chennai 600112 ,man are doing theywork but they are doing patch work only as soon as they repair within one hour it fault what to do we dont know
                                  Power cut in vandalur selliamman nagar sakthi nagar otteri . morning 8am and night after 9 pm to overnight within every half an hour. Working pupils and babies, womens, old age peoples in this hot they have tension and restless. Please do something for this.
                                  Even After Tamil Nadu Govt. Announced No power cut from June 1st of 2014, Putlur and Ramapuram areas in thiruvallur district facing the same power cut problem happened earlier.
                                  Nowadays it is more in night time. Concerned official person shall take care on this issue and help the people to utilize the Govts. New order against the power cut.

But in tamilnadu daily they are switch off the current for more than 5hours in all the districts.How internet centres, offices and shops will run..This problem is going on for more than 4 years.When it will going to end.What ever the problem may be, it requires just one or two years to solve.but here none of the is taking responsible for the current loss.
