To,
Divisional Manager Palghat
Southern railways
Sub: complaint against Reservation counter working hours
Sir/madam
First I want to Thank each and every employees of the Indian Railways for Providing such a excellent service to the passengers,
I would like to bring to your kind notice that i have been a traveler for the past 26years through out the India in Indian Railways in different route and i am surprised that in Pattambi Railway station Ticket Reservation counter which comes under Palghat division is functioning only at 9.15Am every day and there is no TATKAL facility even though when Many people wanted to book TATKAL the facility is not available, Also there is no separate counter for Reservation, People like me have suffered lot due to this to book or to cancel a ticket we need to stand a long queue with the local ticket passengers queue, Which is really Taking every ones precious time, And the response from the Indian Railway staff in the Pattambi Ticket counter is like "Be happy that aleast this facility is available & the reason is insufficient of staff in Palghat Division "My question to the Indian Railway DMR Palghat is, Is Really Indian Railway or Palghat Division facing the insufficient of staff? If not then please provide a solution for this.

Please do the needful.

Thank and Regards
Rajesh Kumar

I HAVE PURCHASED 3 TICKETS FROM GHAZIABAD TO SARAI ROHILLA i.e. RS. 4/- X 3/- = RS. 12/- + RE. 1/- FOR COMMISSION BUT THE TICKET COUNTER OPERATER CHARGED MY RS. 15/-.

HE TOLD ME RAILWAY HAS DONE MISTAKE, RAILWAY HAS TO PRINT RS. 12/- + RE. 3/- FOR COMMISSION.

THAT RAILWAY COUNTER ADDRESS IS : RAILWAY TICKET COUNTER, NEAR UTSAV BHAWAN, VIJAY NAGAR, GHAZIABAD.

PLEASE LET ME THE CORRECT CHARGES & TAKE THE ACTION AGAINST THAT COUNTER IF I AM CORRECT.
Namaste Ravi Ji,
i do not work in Railways. but i thought i'd reply to your query as You are feeling cheated by the JTBS Counters authorised by Indian Railways.

well.. Brother, no body cheated has you but You just didn't understood the Rule properly, which says:

"JTBS is authorized to collect Rs. 1/- (One Rupee) only per ticket
as commission from the passengers"

because one ticket can be allotted to one passenger.. but sine You were 3 so the Comission is
Rs.3/-

adding the Fare which is Rs.12/- for 3 passengers so it is
Rs.12/- + Rs.3/- = Rs.15/-.

i hope i am clear to You. and Your doubt has been appointed a solution.
;-)
