TVS Motor/ Apache RTR 160 I have purchased Apache RTR 160 in the month of Dec.08 and facing problem with this bike. I am much frustrated with this bike. I have already made 2 FREE services, after the completion of second service, i noticed my problem to Service center officials. Engine not working fine, lots of vibration particularly at the speed of 60Km (on or above 5000rpm), also engine misfiers, noise level is correct. The company Service Engineer Mr.Gandhi M., i also shown to him regarding the above problem. He had make a trial, he told me that, above 60km to 75 km there is a such type of problem, and after few seconds the problem will be vanished. But i regularly travel on NH-4 facing the problem daily. Lot of Vibrations to handle and to my hands also. I have been constantly complaing about the vibration problem but no is taking cognizance of the same. I ride bike on the highways and its really scary to drive this bike, Nothing stable even after complaints during the service. We have paid Rs.69, 000/- for riding pleasure but unfortunately my experiance with this bike and co. service officials is very bad. I have start to go by 60 Km/Hr after 1000 Kms of running. Now my Speedometer reading is 3594 I have purchased this bike from Mai TVS, Div. of Mohan Auto Ind. Pvt. Ltd., 517-E, Old Pune-Banglore Rd., Kolhapur 416 001. Engine No: 0E4L82128675. i am also facing the same problem from past 9 months, all my free servicing have finished but they're still not able to solve the problem.
I am also having the same complaint and i too have contacted the company service engineer for this problem. they are not able to correct the problem. there is worst vibration at 65 to 75 km/hr speed. my chassis number is MD63 4KE4 992B 56866. Please do the needfull
even m facing the same problem, the tvs service men always convince us of the vibrations getting over by this service but there is no considerable improvement.

TVS APACHE RTR 160 — Free Servicing
I am fro Cooch Behar, West Bengal, i have a free servising but the dealer(Gowashami TVS) said they have problem with the TVS company so they can't provide me the service. what can i do no pls reply me. i am also facing the same problem from past 4 months, all my free servicing have finished but they're still not able to solve the problem.The Speedometer is not working properly .Please change it

I stay 25kms from the showroom and while bringing the bike from the showroom only i faced many problems like first engine vibration problem, speedometer some time works properly and some times dont, sound from the front part of the bike and i felt very bad for that. my happiness and excitement all vanished within half an hour.
Now the only thing i want to tell to those who want to buy apache bike is that before delivery go for a long ride and see what all the problems you might find out. In comparison pulsar is better in stability and having less complaints than apache because i have rode both of them pulsar never gives this amount of problems.

when the speed goes to 60, then their parts produces different voices, supreme motors khanna does not solve this probelems

I HAVE BAUGHT A TVS APACHE ON 29 SEPT 09.I AM HAVING PROBLEM WITH SOME HORRABLE NOISE FROM EVERYWHERE OF MY BIKES BODY.
I HAVE COMPLAIN ABOUT THE ABOVE PROBLEM TO THE SERVICING CENTER, AND I HAVE DONE 3 OF MY FREE SERVICING BUT THEY HAVE FAILED TO FIX MY PROBLEM.
Even i am facing the problem, Vibrations b/w 60-70Kmph.
When i bought the bike, the guy said that they have corrected this problem with the refresh model but i could not find any diffrence. Rode my Friend's bike also and he also has the same problem.
Happy to have this bike (of course, except for the vibrations), have gone past 118Kmph in this bike and feels good.

I agree to the above text. I own an Apache RTR 160 since 2008 and I am also facing the same problems. My complaints are not taken care of. The bike is superb but the after sales services are very very poor. I hope that one day TVS will take care of its customers.
