[Resolved]  Vetrivel Agency, Bharat Petroleum — Cheating on Quantity

Even I faced this problem on Nov 2010. I gave my card for filling for 1500 rupees. One guy told the other guy who filled the tank to put petrol for 1300. Then he put petrol for 1300 rupees only. I told him to put for 1500 rupees. Then another guy distracted my attention asking to write my car number on the merchant copy. In the mean time the other guy set the reading to 200 rupees, but didnt fill for it. Definitely you get petrol only for 3/4 of the amount. Rest is cheated. These guys should be punished severely...

Yes. Even I have faced this problem in this bunk with my 2-wheeler. If I ask to fill for Rs.100, they would fill only for Rs.50, and then again they would do something as if they are filling for the remaining Rs.50. Twice I faced this problem here and have stopped using this bunk. Please note that this has been happening for a long time. I have heard about this cheating in this bunk last year also.

Even me too face the same problem.You can log strong complaint with Sale officer who is responsible for the corresponding area.He is the person who is having the authority to cancel license for the agencies

I too wish to bring the malpratices of Vetrivel Agencies located at Tambaram Velachery Main Road, Medavakkam, Chennai 100.

Today I went to their petrol bunk in my bike and I asked them to fill petrol for Rs.500. He started filling petrol in my bike and mean time another employee tried to distract my attention. I told to first employee that I need petrol for Rs.500. The second employee nudged & drew my attention to my payment by card, When I quickly glanced back, the meter was rolling fastly and the petrol filled very slowly. He had actually filled only for Rs.300 to 400 on the whole. I argued but they never agreed. Since I'd paid ahead, I was cheated by this agency dated 13/03/2012.

Later, I checked the fuel indicator & it was just past the half tank. Under normal circumstances, the indicator would be near the full tank zone, if I fill in petrol for Rs.500.

Can you please look into this incident & take necessary action against this agency. These agencies are robbing off our money and company's reputation. If such malpractices are left unchecked, we'll lose faith in this petroleum company.

I too wish to bring the malpratices of Vetrivel Agencies located at Tambaram Velachery Main Road, Medavakkam, Chennai 100.

On 12-Apr-2012 after my work, at 22:30 pm i went to the petrol bunk to fill petrol for my Two wheeler.
They have (first)one pump facing towards road and (second)other pump in the middle of the bunk.
I went to middle one to fill petrol but the employee1 who was standing near the first one asked me to
come there to fill petrol. Since it was free i moved there and asked employee to fill petrol for Rs.200
and gave my card . Employee1 started filling the petrol without preset for Rs.200. Since he started filling
the meter in amount started from Rs.0.00 . Employee2 came near to me to collect money, instead of cash i
gave him my card. He took the portable machine and stood towards left hand side and swiped infront of me
and gave the card back to me. I received the card and i was noticing the meter was running (Rs.109).
Suddenly Employee2 raised his voice and asked me to tell the last 4 digit of my card. I got confused,
why he need the 4 digit of my card, but i replied him by giving my card last 4 digit number AT THE SAME TIME
I TURNED TO NOTICE THE METER IT WAS RS.0, 00. I ASKED THE EMPLOYEE I DID NOT SEE THE METER WHEN YOU
COMPLETED(RS.200) HE REPLIED HE FILLED FOR RS.200 AND MADE IT ZERO AS OTHERS WERE WAITING TO FILL PETROL.
I THOUGHT OK AND I MOVED FROM THE PLACE. AFTER 2 MINUTES OF CONFUSION (WHY EMPLOYEE2 ASKED MY LAST 4 DIGIT OF MY CARD)
I NOTICEDMY METER IS NOT MOVED UP. I TOOK A U TURN AND CAME BACK TO THE BUNK AND ASKED THE
EMPLOYEES(since it was closing time all the employees were counting the cash) I FILLED FOR RS.200
BUT MY METER IS NOT UP TO THE MARK. ALL OF A SUDDEN ALL THE EMPLOYEES STARTED BLUFFING TOGETHER.
I STOPPED THEM AND REQUESTED TO SPEAK ONE AT A TIME. EMPLOYEE1 TOLD ME YOUR METER IS NOT WORKING,
EMPLOYEE2 TOLD ME ''YES YES, YOUR METER MIGHT NOT BE SHOWING CORRECTLY CHECK YOUR MILEAGE. A
ND ONE OF THE EMPLOYEE(3) ASKED ME DID YOU NOTICED THE METER OR NOT. I REPLIED HIM I NOTICE TILL RS.109.
THEN HE SAID STILL IF YOU HAVE DOUBT ON US I WILL FILL PETROL FOR THE BALANCE AMOUNT.
I TOLD HIM I NEITHER NEED YOUR MONEY / PETROL BUT I WILL REGISTER A COMPLAINT IN THE CONSUMER COMPLAINT FORUM.

Today they cheated me...they never reset to zero and one person fills petrol...other tries to distract me...

In vetrivel Agency located on tambaram-velacherry road, Medavkkam, Chennai -600100.When you go to fill petrol or diesel surely some one will come and distract your attention.My car tank capaicty was 32 Liters these guys first started the pump and other employees comes asking for card, petrol card not working and some topic he will start the conversion suddenly the other guy who is filling will complain the reading stuck and he need to restart the pump.First time he gave me bill of 321.74 for 4.45 liters after restrarting the pump he filled for 1953 for 27.03 liters . to my suprise when i add the liters he filled 31.48 liters, when i went to fill the petrol i had almost 5-6 liters of petrol in the car(it's not even in reserve)indicator is showing way up than the minimum line.

Can you please look into this incident & take necessary action against this agency. These agencies are robbing off our money and company's reputation. If such malpractices are left unchecked, we'll lose faith in this petroleum company.I has seen so many complains like this in internet and i guess no action has been taken by you guys.From next time i recommend to my friends and family not to fill up fuel in Bharat pertroleum stations.

I have opened complaint with BP, i guess nothing is going to change in the way they operate
