[Resolved]  Videocon Refrigerator Vcp314ibh — Dent/scratch on new fridge body/door

In the month of January, I made a visit to NOIDA along with my family, and purchased a new Videocon refrigerator Model VCP314IBH-RFB and Videocon LED TV - V32530FG from M/s DIGIworld, TGIP mall, Sector-38A, Noida on 29.01.2012 (Bill attached) and requested the delivery to my newly purchased flat at Flat no.1663, Valencia, Mahagun Mascot, Crossings Republik, NH-24 Byepass, Ghaziabad(U.P.). The delivery of the refrigerator was made on 02.02.2012 to my new flat but the installation was not done by the delivery people as they informed that the company technician shall make a visit for the same. However, no technician contacted or visited me for tinstallation purpose. I also returned back to Mumbai after 2-3 days.
Since then I could not pursue the installation of refrigerator and LED TV due to my non-availability in Noida. However, after shifting to Noida in May-2012, I made a service request to customer care (No. GHA[protected]) for installation of the refrigerator. Service engineer Sh. Pradeep Kumar (Mob.no. [protected]) visited me on 11.05.2012 for installation of the refrigerator. While unpacking the refrigerator, we were shocked to find a continous deep dent/scratch on one side of the door & body of the refrigerator. Based on his assessment the technician felt that the dent/scratch seemed to be a result of some transportation fault. We immediately contacted the dealer for some remedy. However, he straightaway denied any help stating that since the refrigerator was delivered 2-3 months back he cannot do anything. The technician then made a report of the issue and verbally assured me that the same will be put up to the company and replacement of the refrigerator shall be done, however it will take around 20-30 days. After following up regularly with Sh. Harish (Mob.no.[protected]) who is the supervisor at Videocon's Ghaziabad service centre, I have been informed by them that the refrigerator cannot be replaced because of company policy.

This invariably means that I have to use a damaged refrigerator for its entire working life for no fault of mine. The refrigerator shall be replaced immediately. Pls. help.
